Studying piano is a beautiful, personal experience for people of all ages. Through my 8+ years of teaching students between ages 3 through 75, I have learned to adapt my teaching methods to suit each individual's learning style and personality.

My most important goal is to help my students achieve a deep appreciation for music, and I will help cultivate the skills necessary to express the music by building solid technique, understanding of music theory, and artistic coaching.

I strongly believe that if you cultivate the discipline and patience to learn an instrument, you can achieve anything else you set your mind to!

Über mich

Although I was born in Japan, I was mostly raised in San Francisco, CA. I started playing the piano at the age of 3 and have performed all over the world at major concert halls including Carnegie Hall, Salle Gaveau, and in Europe, the US, and Japan. I have also performed with professional orchestras such as the California Symphony and Rochester Philharmonic. Since moving to Paris in 2020, I started an Ensemble which is Ensemble-in-Residence at the Fondation des Etats-Unis.

I began teaching more than eight years ago and love seeing my students grow in their passion and ability to play piano. I believe that with perseverance, hard work, and faith, it is possible to achieve anything, including playing the piano!

Passionate about music offers an initiation or a deepening in music (music theory, piano or singing). My goal is to be as attentive as possible to your expectations and I will be quite capable of adapting.
Having played the piano since I was 6 years old, I acquired a very good level of music theory and subsequently found fun methods for this learning which may seem boring but remains necessary. The goal is to help with motivation and confidence! Learning music theory can be for all instruments. Indeed, I know the three types of keys (treble, bass, and C) depending on the instruments.
I am also a member of a musical comedy troupe with which we have put on 10 shows with live music. So I also have a lot of experience singing and playing piano in front of an audience.
I also passed the Music option of the baccalaureate and could therefore also teach you the techniques of comparative listening or instruct you on a work or a genre of music that interests you.

My lessons focus on the fun and entertaining aspect of learning the piano, always keeping the rigor, logic and understanding of what happens with the instrument and with the posture.

As a pianist, specialized in dance accompaniment as well as concert performer, I have given piano lessons in the private sector as well as the conservatory, and I am always looking for the program that can motivate the student while making him progress. .

We can work on improvisation, repertoire, musical training ... depending on what you are looking for.

I studied for it:

-A license in classical piano, with contemporary music option.
-A specialization as a concertist in the Alfred Cortot School of Music in Paris.
-A license in music and musicology from La Sorbonne.
-The master's degree in music and musicology at La Sorbonne.
-Pianist specialty cycle choreographic accompaniment in Paris.

With over a decade of experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral cellist, Daniel brings a wealth of expertise to his teaching. He tailors his lessons to each student's individual needs, regardless of age or experience.
Daniel's teaching philosophy centers around building a strong foundation, which serves as a springboard for musical expression.
His approach draws from various methodologies such as ABRSM, AMEB, Kodaly, Tortelier, and Feuillard schools, Suzuki method, and his own compositions, resulting in a customized strategy for each student.

In Hamburg, Jörg completed 3 years of musical training at the “Music Academy”. for the subjects piano, keyboard and ear training. Since then, he initially worked in various Yamaha music schools as a piano and keyboard teacher as well as a teacher for elementary basic training and band coaching.

Since 1995 he has headed the Rudolf Music School in Hameln. In June 2020 he expanded the music school with a location in Hanover and Berlin.

He works as a keyboardist and pianist in various bands:

After 9 years of conservatory training in piano, operatic singing and variety, and 3 cycles of solfège, I offer private lessons to discover or develop your skills in piano (accompaniment, synthesizer and classical pieces), singing (opera, variety) and solfège.

For piano lessons: if you have a piano, I can come to your home. Otherwise, lessons are given at my home using a digital keyboard.
For singing and for music theory: no equipment required, at my place or yours!
