Hello! I am Anna.

I am a passionate and dedicated teacher of English and Russian language with experience (10 years +) in tutoring and translation/interpretation (English/Japanese/Russian). Competent in linguistics, educational methods and development psychology.

I was born in Russia and my mother tongue is Russian, however I've started learning English at early age (in kindergarden) and my passsion to languages has been only getting stronger with years. I continued my studies at English school in Russia and studied 1 academic year in US, California, when I was 16. That was my first time to realize that English can really open horizons and show you the world bringing to the places and giving you a chance to meet new interesting wonderful people.

I have proceeded with my linguitsics studies at Astrakhan State University witn major in linguistics and translation (Japanese/English/Russian). I studied Japanese in university and I currently have JLPT N2 certificate. I graduated with honors in 2013 and immediately started working as a translator of Japanese and Russian in a Japanese company which was launching a production site in Russia. Since than, I have been lucky enough to work with a number of a worldwide recoginised brands, such as Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Mitsui and others.

I lived for 6 months in Japan, Tokyo, and it definitely was un unforgetable experience. At that time I was working as a freelancer tutoring Japanese clients in English (basic English and Business English) offline. It was a great time to both teach and learn experiencing Japanese culture from within.

I strive to achieve the best results in the online classroom through flexible individual approach to the students and creative and entertaining delivery of information. Ready to work with students of different age and proficiency level.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. If you would like to learn Turkish or English in a consistent and structured way, I would be happy to work with you.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.
