A master's student at Concordia University and a cellist at the Orchestre Symphonique de l'Isle, I offer cello lessons for beginners and intermediate musicians. Having studied music at the Massenet Conservatory in Saint-Étienne (France) and through the Electroacoustics minor at Concordia, I have 18 years of experience with the instrument and 10 years of orchestral practice. The courses aim to support the instrumentalist in their development, as well as in their first steps, including the basics of music theory and ear training.

As a graduate student at Concordia University and a cellist at the Orchester Symphonique de l'Isle, I offer cello lessons for beginner and intermediate players. Having studied music at the Massenet Conservatory in Saint-Étienne (France) and completed a minor in Electroacoustics at Concordia, I bring 18 years of experience with the instrument and 10 years of orchestral practice. I adapt to what everyone wants, both frequent and sporadic classes. During these, I like to make brief notes from other fields such as history or music theory, so that they are complemented with the instrument, to help their understanding and thus obtain a more complete experience. Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

The trumpet: its correct technical execution and the interpretation of popular and academic universal repertoires, is available to everyone regardless of their age. We will build a logical sequence of studies that will help develop the technical aspects. And we will address repertoires according to the age and taste of the student. we will draw a path with short, medium and long term goals. we will build a technical routine and healthy habits to progress correctly. In addition, we will select musical pieces by mutual agreement to mature the technical development hand in hand with musical growth.

I am a professional trumpeter, I have participated in symphony orchestras, wind bands, big band, and small chamber and jazz ensembles. I have extensive experience teaching children, youth and adults.
