Hello! I'm Javier, a Spanish Business graduate currently pursuing a master in finance at NUS.

I have been teaching Spanish to foreign students for more than 8 years, something which has provided me with a versatile & customized teaching style. Thanks to my experience, I have been able to optimize the Spanish learning process depending on level and age. Is it easy to learn Spanish? As mentioned above, my main objective when teaching is making the student enjoy while learning a new language. As demonstrated by empirical studies, we human beings learn faster by experimenting (and hence, playing) than by heart. Being open-minded also contributes to faster and better results. As a person who loves learning new languages and cultures, the stronger the connection with that language/culture, the deeper our interest in keep on learning about it. We will start our lessons by learning the most basic skills such as correct pronunciation and simple grammar rules.
We will continue to improve our speaking, listening and grammar levels by learning new informations step by step.
Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
