I have lived and studied in UK for many years (Master and PhD). I hold a TEFL certificate to teach English at different levels, and I have more than 10 years of teaching experience. I am a dynamic teacher which organises the lessons according to the needs and interests of each student. I can support the students at different levels, from beginners to advanced. Moreover, having taught at university level, I can help students in their first years at university (humanistic subjects) improve their essay writing, research and study methods.

Teaching has always been a passion for me. After my first degree in Languages, I moved to UK to continue my studies, and I lived and worked there for almost 10 years. I lived in Manchester, where I got my Master degree, in London, and in Coventry, for my PhD. My PhD research focused on international development. In particular, I explored the dynamics of agricultural poverty in Tanzania, where I lived, worked and taught English for almost two years before starting my PhD. I am a dynamic teacher, always looking for alternative and fun ways to inspire my students and make their learning easier and fun. I work a lot with digital material, literature, current news and real life videos, trying to match the student's interests.

Opleiding

I have a degree in Languages and Literature (English as the main language, plus French and Spanish), a Master in Development Studies (University of Manchester), a PhD in Political Studies (Warwick University) and a TEFL qualification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).

Leservaring

I have taught at both secondary and primary levels, at groups and individuals (one to one) for over 9 years. I have also three years of experience teaching adults. I organise general English courses, business English and English for specific sectors. I also offer student support (in English) in studying other humanistic subjects such as history, geography, literature.
