Welcome everyone!
My name is Mariela, I am a classical singer, musicologist and singing teacher based in the Netherlands.

Are you passionate about singing but you don’t dare to do it in front of others? Do you have singers that inspire you and would you like to get closer to their music? Are you too shy to even try to sing? Are you a member of a choir and want to develop your personal voice technique? Then you have come just to the right place!

I have more than 10 years of experience in signing and choir teaching. My method is based on a healthy way of producing sound, trying exercises that benefit the student and that are a totally personal experience. The genre? Your decision! Classical or pop, the choice of repertoire is a two-sided exercise, both you and I create a portfolio that will not only test your voice but will excite you and make your study fun and enjoyable.
The classes are individual and last 45 minutes for teenagers and 1 hour for adults. They can be in person in Amsterdam (Oost) or Hilversum (NL) or online.

The Music Theory lessons are for the ones who want to learn how to read music scores, no matter your level I can keep challenging you with exercises and funny dynamics.

I graduated from the Maastricht concservatory and have been teaching singing lessons to adults for years. I give classical singing lessons, so Bach, Schumann, Schubert to Gerswin. No pop music.
I teach beginners and advanced singers.

Drs Irene – Bellucci BBA BMA has more than 20 years of experience as a singing teacher in more than 12 countries and is now a household name among famous singers and actors all over the world – from the Netherlands to the United States. Her enormous knowledge of the voice and performing as a musician and her great didactic skills are some of her characteristic features.

Irene studied classical and modern singing at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Haarlem and in the United States with Joan Lader (Broadway musical) and in Italy at the Accademia di Belcanto with Astrea Amaduzzi. Irene's knowledge covers all singing techniques, such as belcanto, verismo, belting, pop-curbing, and is based on scientific research that ranges from classical pedagogues to the most contemporary insights into voice use.

Breath support and sound formation are the indispensable basis for a good, powerful and healthy use of the voice, but many other aspects are important. I strongly believe that the voice is an all-powerful instrument. It converts the invisible into the visible; it transforms emotions into sounds. The voice is subject to continuous evolution. It's a beautiful instrument that offers so many possibilities in terms of expansion.

Singing to me is the best feeling ever. Your entire body is moving and your head is totally empty of worries. You lose who you are and transform into a new person.
One time you are a prince or princess, the other a warrior fighting a duel. Maybe you stare at a beautiful river or fall in love like never before. All of this and even crazier situations are material for songs. Singing is so much more than just notes, it is about using your fantasy and telling a story. I love this feeling so much that I want to share how you can experience all of this while singing.

In general, singing is a combination of technique (pitches and rhythm), posture, and breathing. Next to that, we have diction, acting, body language, expression, and joy! You sing because you like it!

Who I am?

Once upon a time, I was an aspiring academic, but longing for a more creative way to share my voice I started singing and quite I recently graduated form the Master of Music program direction Music Theatre. I know how arduous the artistic journey can be yet, we take it none the less, because we are all striving for this little moment of magic that arises when everything falls into place. For me, I saw this happening many times during a performance but also in coaching others and it gives me chills every time. And I would be honoured to help you pass on this little spark of magic to others!

As I am only just starting with these individual lessons for a limited time they are available.

In addition to my Bachelor and Master degrees in Jazz/Pop Voice Performance and Vocal Education (cities of study: Berlin, Mainz, Stuttgart, Lisbon) I regularly attend courses of the newest programs and voice research to constantly enrich your lesson with findings from modern vocal pedagogy.

Over the last 11 years my numerous students taught me that there is no universal recipe for vocal improvement, but there are indeed a lot of methods that can get you where you want. Instruments: Cajon with hands or brushes, conga, Pandeiro, tamborim, agogo, chekere, udu, pop percussion and way more. I am looking forward to meet you.
