Short film intensive: advanced production techniques for docudramas and more

Advanced film production techniques class covering the following in detail: lighting, sound, colour correction, using green screens, filming in motion, 4K resolution and remote video-editing workflows. While students will practice their skills through brief, task-based, filming and editing assignments, a large sum of time will be devoted to planning, development, setup and execution of a singular film project of their choice. In addition to preparation for working in teams on a set, students will develop the following: reel displaying a wide range of filming and editing skills, résumé/CV, general cover letter, portfolio/updated website with artist statement and downloadable professional documents. The class will be targeted towards preparing students for the world of film, whether academic or commercial.

Each student will receive a personally tailored course based on the equipment accessible to them. If more than 15 students sign up, we will work collectively as a class.

My education and training as a researcher and visual artist, and a diverse skill set in administrative support and project management, have equipped me to work with people from all walks of life. I constantly look forward to collaborating with creatives, scientists and students. When in leadership positions, I like to create environments where individual thriving and collective growth are inseparable values, practiced through implementation of tangible organization structures, curriculum development, documentation/archiving and an active effort to respond to the growing contemporary challenges of our world. These multi-disciplinary educational and work experiences help me elicit imagination in problem solving and sustainably invigorate my mind.

I have over 4 years of experience as a tutor and counselor in middle school, high school and university settings in India, UK and USA. I'm lookin forward to continuing my professional trajectory in the education field here in the Netherlands. Beyond providing an academic anchor, I like to create an environment where students can develop their inner voice and are encouraged to ask for help--a much needed life skill in our contemporary world.
