My name is Tommy and I am a passionate, experienced, and qualified, Native English Teacher from England. I have good experience teaching English to all levels, adults and children, in schools and online. I pride myself on offering tailor-made, fun, and creative classes for all my students. I take the time to get to know each student personally and how they learn, and I am always willing to try new things based on the students wants and needs. Whether you just want to improve your conversation, or study for a particular exam, I can help you. Learning English should be fun, this is something I honestly believe. I want to share my passion for this beautiful language!

I am currently available in the Afternoons on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and the evenings on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I can travel anywhere within Zona 1 of Barcelona City for classes. Or if you prefer Online Classes I have the set up to do this also.

I offer a highly personalised approach to teaching. Every student is different and learns differently, so to have a one size fits all attitude to teaching is counter productive. Based on your needs I will design a unique, fun, and highly creative learning experience.

I also offer learning English through Drama, Film, and creative writing. As an award winning writer & director of films and theatre I have a great wealth of experience to draw from here. I am a trusted editor of scripts, poetry, and prose, and have an excellent knowledge of world literature and art.

I am also interested in using mnemonic, oral techniques, using poetry and song, to better remember vocabulary and structures and expand our proficiency and profound understanding of language. Here we will not be afraid to dive deep so, again, if you are interested in creating a more meaningful relationship to the English language, then this is the course for you. I can teach English, Irish, and American dialects and there is nothing I enjoy more than a discussion about the etymology of a word or phrase.

My experience? One of my first studies was Fontys Lerarenopleiding (Tilburg) to be a Spanish teacher. Part of this was teaching Spanish to teenagers at a high school, being a Dutch tutor for my university classmates, and staying in Madrid to study at the University of Nebrija for a month. I have something like 10 years of experience in teaching classes: individual and group, with children and adults, online and face to face. I live in Spain (now in Barceloneta) with my partner since 2019, I have studied in Chile for 5 months and 3 months in Mexico for my master's degree. My name is Bo. I’m 26 years old and originally from the Netherlands. Dutch is my native language, but I grew up with English as a second language. I’ve completed two degrees in English and also I have worked in English, so I can say it comes naturally to me. I’m passionate about learning languages myself, so I’d love to help you improve your Dutch or English.

I offer both conversation and grammar classes. If you’re preparing for a specific situation in English, this is the perfect way to get ready and build your confidence. I’m open to teaching all ages, and I also have experience caring for children, so if needed, I can combine childcare with teaching them English or Dutch.
