This course is currently unavailable. In "Communication I", we focus exclusively on casual speaking, listening and reading. During your study, kindly note how subtly characters, pronunciations and meanings interrelate. Some units we learn are Dishes, Festivals, Chinese star signs, Hobbies and Pronunciation. Other more advanced units are Character roots, Tang poems and Traditional characters. Ms Lisa designs your handouts. For one-on-one lessons, Ms Lisa will tailor her class to the learner's needs.

Spanish student in Wageningen University who specializes in tutoring Spanish and English for both school children and adults by offering a flexible approach, depending on the students needs. On the one hand, I can offer classes both for those interested in simply improving their speaking skills with fun coversations in Spanish while learning about Spanish culture. I offer you a German course that is not like the others. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you travel back and forth by train every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Memorise the timetable. 2) Realise that the train comes every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in textbooks and in normal lessons, the first approach is used - in the course I am offering you, it is the second approach because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both pupils and adults who want to learn the German language without time-consuming detours through the madness of fruitless school methods. Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, with my customised lessons you will greatly accelerate the learning process while having a positive attitude. I offer German lessons for individuals or groups (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive science and historical linguistics in particular. My modular programme can be adapted on a case-by-case basis. The converging point of these modules is your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What will not be covered in the course: learning lists of verbs; learning lists of nouns with articles; learning words with their translations; flashcards; doing school exercises; following the syllabus of a booklet; imposing the English grammar on the German language. What is particularly important to me: to motivate my student and to give him a learning rhythm; to encourage his creativity; to befriend him with the language; the letters and their sounds; to strengthen the memory by training the phonological loop; to teach blueprints instead of memorising sentences; to explain how the language works in order to make my student independent as quickly as possible; to eliminate common preconceptions, such as that 'der' would mean masculine and 'die' feminine, that the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, that verbs would be irregular, that declension would be random and therefore would have to be learnt with each verb...; to put practice at the centre and only deal with grammar where necessary. A first lesson will give you a sound idea of my pedagogy.

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher based in Falkirk with over 15 years of experience particularly in the upper primary level. If your child needs additional input in English or Maths to help them reinforce their classroom learning or if they are looking to extend themselves to work at Third Level in preparation for High School or Entrance Exams, then I am here to help. After our initial ‘get to know you’ session, I will build a program of learning that will support your child in all identified areas, helping them to feel more confident with concepts or skills they have found tricky to master as well as challenge them to reach their full potential moving towards higher level learning. Mathematics is often seen as a problem area for many students and their ‘tricky’ subject. With every student that identifies this as an area for development, my focus is on building a strong foundation in maths reinforcing key concepts, using key problem-solving strategies as well as developing critical thinking skills. Through the use of real-world, tangible examples, I will help students develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and how they can be applied in their own lives. We will also work on editing and reviewing with feedback sessions built in to help consolidate the techniques introduced. I strongly believe that reading is the key to unlocking a whole world of knowledge and imagination. In my reading sessions, I will focus on developing essential skills such as phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocab. Through a variety of activities, including reading aloud, guided reading, discussion and analysis, I will help students improve their reading abilities, expand their literary horizons, and hopefully, foster a lifelong love for books. Provide reinforcement for reading and writing, developing reading fluency, ease and learning the correct stroke of letters. And develop reading comprehension. It is important that the child learns to correctly draw letters and read fluently and comprehensively to develop analytical and critical thinking. The teaching method, being online, will use striking images related to the words that are taught to the child so that they learn to relate them and even when carrying out the reading, it will be done with readings appropriate to the age of the student, which always has a moral or a teaching. For writing, the tracing is done together with them thanks to various digital tools and together with the oral description of how to do it.

French is one of the most influential languages in the world. Knowing how to speak, read and write it while understanding the significant accuracy of the words used is an asset that unfortunately very few master. My lessons are based on my student's expectations, the areas in which he wants to work will be implemented.
