David, Singaporean, Trilingual in French, English, and Mandarin, currently is in the midst of finishing his studies as a choral conductor at the Toulouse Conservatory - having an unsual career trajectory - beginning as a lobbyist in Singapore, before changing his profession towards music : first being a singer, then now, a conductor. He was a teacher of individual and collective singing at Singapore before arriving in France, and now has the honor of serving as choral and orchestral conductor in several organisations in the Toulouse Metropolitan area.

David, Singapourien, trilingue, en français, anglais, et mandarin, est actuellement en train de finaliser sa formation en tant que chef de chœur au Conservatoire de Toulouse, il était professeur d'anglais et de musique (chant individuel et chant-choral) à Singapour avant venir en France. Il est actuellement chef de chœur et chef d'orchestre dans plusieurs structures toulousaines.

Jawa (1996) joueur de oud, chanteur et compositeur syrien.
Je suis né à Alep et j'ai grandi à Damas, en Syrie. J'ai commencé à jouer de la musique à l'âge de onze ans. J'ai choisi le Oud comme instrument car mon père en jouait tous les jours à la maison quand j'étais jeune. Petit à petit, j'en suis tombé amoureux et maintenant je ressens une sensation de liberté illimitée en y jouant. Diplômée du Conservatoire de Rotterdam en 2021.

Professeur expérimenté de Oud et de chant arabe oriental depuis plus de 11 ans, je suis Libanais et je réside actuellement en Allemagne. J’ai étudié pendant 8 ans au Conservatoire National Libanais. J’ai enseigné à l’Académie Casa Beethoven au Liban et donné des cours particuliers. De plus, j’ai été chef d’orchestre de l’orchestre oriental Loubnan Assalam pendant plus de 5 ans.

Ma recommandation pour apprendre le Oud est de commencer par l’étude des notes et de la notation musicale avant d’aborder les morceaux. Bien que certains élèves préfèrent jouer directement des chansons, comprendre les bases de la notation musicale permet de progresser plus rapidement sur le long terme. Avec de la détermination et du travail, des progrès significatifs peuvent être réalisés en un an, permettant de jouer des mélodies simples.
