Certified English teacher having lived 7 years in the States where I worked as a translator/interpreter for UCLA, Studios and Surf Channel. Since my return to France, I have been training in English, coaching adults who need to progress quickly in their profession. In broad terms: - We sit down at the table with a little conversation to gain vocabulary, strengthen our grammar and sentence structures, improve our pronunciation, discover these “usual words/expressions” that we only understand on the fly. ground. - Then, we approach a new grammar point and we check its assimilation thanks to varied, creative and personalized exercises. - Finally, we can conclude with games, a description of photos, paintings, listening to a song, its translation, a short article chosen by the student etc... Within 24 hours, the student receives a “Class recap” with a summary of the course and avenues for progression. My approach, which starts from the student's interests, has proven to be particularly effective and has reconciled many of them with English.
