I am a professional violin teacher with 12 years of teaching experience based in Maastricht and I offer fun and productive lessons to people of all kind of ages and levels. I currently divide my time between teaching violin and playing as Co-Principal second violin at Philharmonie Zuidnederland, as well as freelancing in other orchestras like Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest and Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. I gained my Bachelor's Degree from the Royal College of Music in London with a specialization in teaching and a Master's Degree from Musikhochschule Lübeck. I was an academist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2017/2018. Both my parents are violin teachers, so this is my world since I can remember. As soon as I started conservatory in London I started teaching privately and in a music school while I was studying performance and music pedagogy. I am proud to have very high-level students that have pursued a career in music and have become exceptional violinists. My aim in the lessons is to help my students improve their technique and musicality, as well as keep them motivated. For optimal development, I always keep my students involved in concerts and lessons with the piano accompanist, as well as collective classes where we play for each other and discuss topics like, for example, practicing techniques. Because I am always fully committed to my students, I like to study each case individually and prepare for each lesson beforehand. My teaching method includes a very large list of repertoire, ranging from ABRSM, Trinity and Suzuki to standard violin repertoire. I teach at home, but I can also travel to students' homes by bike or car. Lessons can be in Dutch, English, Spanish or Russian.
