I am Dimitrios, I am a greek professional guitarist. I graduated with a masters degree in Jazz guitar from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and also studied in the UK conservatory of Leeds. As a musician my primary focus is jazz music but I also often play other styles like soul, Rnb and more. So far in my teaching career I have had experience with many different ages, from 7 to 40 years old and I think I have managed to pass on to them some of my passion for music. Voor gitaar is het belangrijk dat je in een aangename omgeving jezelf kan verbeteren op een leuke manier waar jouw interesses centraal staan. Wil je je verdiepen in een bepaalde stijl? Wil je een eigen sound creëren op je gitaar aan de hand van amps, pedalen, ...? Daar kan ik je allemaal mee verderhelpen! Een kennis van notenleer of muziektheorie is niet vereist, we kunnen dit wel altijd in de les behandelen indien je dit wilt, maar dat is zeker niet verplicht ;) Zelf speel ik al gitaar sinds mijn 9 jaar en sinds enkele jaren speel ik in professionele bands mee waarmee ik onder andere bijvoorbeeld op suikerrock heb kunnen spelen. Naast mijn werk in bands ben ik beschikbaar als sessiemuzikant, bands kunnen me dus vragen om mee te spelen voor een of meerdere optredens. Meestal is dit last minute waardoor mijn kunsten als zichtlezer zeer goed zijn bovendien zorgt dit ervoor dat ik thuis ben van alle stijlen. De lessen zouden doorgaan bij mij thuis te Mol of via webcam. Indien nodig kunnen we ook altijd iets anders afspreken. Deze combinatie maakt het, dat Alex op een prettige wijze zijn kennis van muziek kan overbrengen op zijn leerlingen. Ervaring heeft Alex voldoende, zo heeft hij meer dan 10 jaar ervaring in het lesgeven van muziek in Rotterdam en omstreken. Deze ervaring heeft hij opgedaan door het geven van privélessen en op diverse muziekscholen. Alex blinkt uit in het verzorgen van akoestische gitaarlessen en muziektheorie lessen. Met een master's degree in jazz compositie gehaald (Rotterdam) ontwerpt Alex de partituren zelf. Hij maakt toegankelijke arrangementen van stukken of liedjes. Ook de methode en de oefeningen voor gitaartechniek komen uit eigen hand. De partituren zijn geschreven met een hybride notatie (muzieknotatie en tabnotatie), waarbij alle benodigde informatie over de rechter- en linkerhand wordt verstrekt. Na overeenstemming te hebben bereikt over de te werken stukken of liedjes, krijgt de leerling de desbetreffende partituur. In de les speelt de leraar het live voor de leerling, zodat hij een nog beter beeld krijgt van het stuk. Vervolgens legt de leraar uit wat er moet worden verduidelijkt om huiswerk voor te bereiden. Ten slotte maakt Alex een videotutorial over het stuk of nummer dat voor de volgende les moet worden geleerd. Dit geeft extra ondersteuning bij het thuis oefenen, om twijfel te voorkomen en de motivatie hoog te houden. Vervolgens wordt er dan een rapport gemaakt om bij te houden wat er gedaan is en wat moet nog erop gewerkt worden, om technische vereisten te ontgrendelen en een specifiek repertoire op een constructieve en efficiënte manier te voltooien. Alex doceert in Rotterdam thuis of op de eigen locatie van de leerling. De lessen zijn in het Nederlands, Engels of Frans, voor alle leeftijden en niveaus. De docent geeft voornamelijk live lessen, waarbij hij met zijn leerlingen werkt aan specifiek materiaal (techniek en repertoire). Mocht er om wat voor reden dan ook geen live les kunnen plaatsvinden, dan is het natuurlijk mogelijk om een online les te volgen. De lessen duren 30 minuten of 45 minuten, wekelijks of tweewekelijks.
