Lessons in Ableton Live and electronic music production

In February, 2022 I graduated as a Jazz French horn player at the University of Music and Dance, Cologne in the class of Prof. Shannon Barnett, Hubert Nuss and Frank Gratkowski. Currently, I am doing my Master studies at the Kunstuniversität, Graz. My activities reflect my passions in diverse musical styles including various settings from big band, symphonic music to contemporary, folk music and all things African. My latest musical associations is my with my quartet, inspired by different cultural and musical elements. Through the freedom of composition and improvisation.

As a music producer, I have been working with ABLETON for a long time, but I also have experience with software such as PRO-TOOLS, LOGIC, ... I look at your individual question and build on it. I have experience with Live Sets at once boxes as well as mixing, sound FX and Foley for film and TV. An Ableton lesson can range from: Developing a live set based on backing tracks, live looping, live launching of tracks, midi roll ramming, song writing, song structure, audio post-production, podcast editing, ...

In these lessons you will learn how to study and play the piano. You can ask for specific pieces that you really want to play, or we can start togheter a training with exercises and pieces. I also teach sightreading (how to read a score!), how to play with singers or other musicians and solfeggio. Regarding composition, I can give you the first base and teach how to approach, how to analyse a piece, and how to train the ear, and a bit of harmony and contrapoint.

This course is above all there to make you want to play bass, let it be fun! It will be based on the practice of the instrument, on the understanding and the role of the bass. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.

The private “composition classes/music writing & music theory lessons” are held for students of all levels and ages including beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. There are also lessons available that are suited for: Students who are preparing for an entrance exam to the conservatories. Music students who are in higher education systems (Bachelor or Master). Location: Music classes are held at the student's home in Brussels or online via webcam. Prices of music lessons in Brussels or online (TVA and social security contributions are included). Languages: The class is taught in English, Dutch and Persian. Course timetable: Daily time slots are flexible according to the student’s needs. With Flexible schedules in Brussels or online. Age limit & musical knowledge: Minimum age of 5 years old is required to attend the classes. For private classes such as solfeggios and piano lessons, no prior knowledge of music is required. Payment method & frequency of the lessons: Based on a period of 1 month, 2 months, or 3 months, students will be asked to fulfill the payment prior to the beginning of the lessons. We suggest attendance on a weekly basis to benefit the most from these courses.

Our Professional Studios are set with 2 video cameras, so you can see us perfectly and also hear us perfectly with a studio microphone. Do not worry about your settings, as long as you have a stable connection this is all what we need. Why online classes? We think online classes are a valid asset for the future. Students learn comfortably from their homes and the education that they receive is proved to have the same validity as in person lessons, if performed with the right means and the right method, obviously! The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. What I want you to get from your lessons with me, is not only a huge knowledge of theorical stuff or a great technique, I would like to show you my musical world, the imagination and inner exploration that is required to understand and to love music in a whole new level.
