I am guitarist and lutenist from Spain with 15 years of experience in music performance and I have taught in different music schools to students from very different ages and levels. My principal aim is to unveil the intrinsic qualities of the student, in a natural and progressive way, through the enjoyment of the music. We can work on many different musical styles of classical musica and it’s different styles, languages and notation sources. On music popular styles like "flamenco" (rumbas, fandangos, alegrías, sevillanas, etc) and its different ways of strumming, scales, harmony structures and "compás". Or we can deep in the huge and fantastic world of early music through the tablatures and manuscripts from the XVI century. Whether for amateurs, advanced students, kids, young people or adults. Either for auditions, preparation for concerts, music schools, music exams, hobby or just for love of the guitar. You are all welcome to join my lessons. My name is Malu and I am a classic and contemporary saxophonist from Spain. I started playing saxophone at age 8, and since then this instrument has taken me to many wonderful places in my life! I studied my Bachelor in Zaragoza with professor Mariano García and now I am studying my Master’s degree in the ZHdK in Zürich in the class of Lars Mlekusch. In the field of teaching I have 3 years of experience in Spain: I used to teach saxophone and theory in a Music School and I also used to give private lessons. I consider myself very open when it comes to teach: I like to personalize my teaching depending on the student’s level, goals and tastes, although I always remain confidently when it comes to the playing technique. It will make you love your instrument (trust me!). I’ve worked with both children and adults of different levels and also different styles. Last but not least: my main goal is for the students to develop their creativity! I love when a student is curious and lively and challenges me to know better how music and my instrument works. I offer Spanish conversation classes for all levels, needs and desires, both in person in Zürich and online. We can set the conversations on different topics proposed by me or by you (how to order in a restaurant, how to say hello and goodbye, talk about the weather, talk about the family or knowing how to indicate an address). I adapt to your level and with time and practice I can help you become fluent in Spanish. I am a very patient girl, I speak clearly and slowly if necessary, in addition, I try to vocalize whenever I teach Spanish to other people. My native language is Spanish, but I also speak Catalan, English and German, so I could translate some things for you that you didn't understand.
