Hi, I'm Karoline! I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Music and performing arts Vienna and have been teaching for several years. Whether you are a complete beginner (of any age) or have been playing for many years - my lessons will be customized to fit you personal needs and goals. For me the most important thing is to pass down my passion for the instrument and music and to teach you how to be confident with your instrument. I can also prepare you for exams (i.e. entrance exams for a music university) and teach lessons in music theory and ear training. In my lessons I like to occasionally use methods from elementary music education, which focuses on musical expression. That way you can practice to express yourself and your feelings on the instrument and the typical fear of mistakes is being avoided. I teach in a beautiful room with a grand piano near the Belvedere. In my experience over the past few years as a piano teacher to students of all levels and ages, I have found that people learn so much more when they are able to express themselves and have a fun time from the very first lesson. For this reason I focus on teaching piano and music through the lens of jazz, which allows for so much freedom as well as being really educational in all different styles of music. In 2012 I started studying at Busan High School of Arts. I graduated from this course when I was 19, and then went on to study at Chugye Art University in Seoul. There I had the opportunity to learn a lot and to play with different musicians. I am currently attending the Franz Schubert Conservatory for a Master of Music. I'm studying piano there.
