The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject. Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

Hi, I’m Heewon from South Korea and I currently study music in HKU Conservatory. For about 14 years I have studied various aspects of music, I’ve studied piano, vocals and composition, and now I am studying piano in the jazz and pop course. Not only have I played lots of jazz and pop, I have played lots of classical, neo-soul and gospel, to me it’s important to be well versed in lots of genre’s. How amazing is it to play the music that lives in your head? Piano is by no means difficult, it make’s for a great hobby and is a wonderful stress reliever. My class is open for people of all skill levels and is held in English or Korean. Essential parts of my lessons are: -Tailor-made lessons to suit your skill level and needs. *For beginners we’ll go through basic piano skills, basic music theory and reading sheet music. *If you're an intermediate, you'll be given a class that suits your level, needs and wishes. Guitar playing is a fantastic skill, and is passed down from generation to generation. I have been playing since I was a child, and studied music for 5 years, up to masters level. My classes focus on orienting beginners and intermediate level guitarists in repertoire, theory application, and musicianship. The classes run for 2 hours and are taught in English. First we will assess your current ability and what your goals are, and then we can make a roadmap to get you where you want to be in a reasonable time frame. I usually set one piece of homework each lesson. I like to use Sibelius First (totally free software!) to share score sheets and activities with my students.

Do you love baroque music? Probably there is not better way to approach it than learning the instrument - synonym of baroque music which ruled the world for three centuries. I am offering lessons for all levels. Would you like to start learning music with the harpsichord? That's perfect! Or are you an experience harpsichordist who would like to develop further his basso continuo skills? I am an experienced professional harpsichordist with artistic activity participating in numerous of events festivals. I have a six years of experience in teaching individual lessons. Harpsichord music repertoire is extremely rich and there are plenty of wonderful pieces for all levels. So even if you are a beginner I promise you will not get bored! You will learn how to ornament and decorate the melody. Baroque music is a lot about ornamentation. Emphasis will be given of course on expression and musicality. A big part of the harpsichordists job is to play the basso continuo. This mean that you will learn to improvise instantly in given base lines.

Singing lessons for all levels and age. For beginners, together we can discover the range of your voice and build the breathing and singing technique. I have studied Classical Singing in the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata (Greece) and I have followed a two-year Early Music Programme in Athens Conservatoire. At the same time I studied Music Theory (Harmony) at the Greek National Conservatoire from which I gained my Harmony degree. In addition, I have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Currently, I am a second year master student at the Utrechts Conservatorium and working as a singer at the NKK NXT. I have participated in Operas (“Julius Cesar”- 2015 in Athens Concert Hall and “Alcina”-2019 in Odeon of Herodes Atticus) as a member of a vocal ensemble and I have also performed as a soloist in many concerts. I am a Greek pianist and I have been living in the Netherlands for the last couple of years. I started teaching children and adults individually as well as in groups 8 years ago. According to your preferences we can create a lesson structure which combines technique and theory (chords, scales, harmony) but also repertoire that you enjoy and love. Ik bied lessen aan waarin je piano en muziektheorie leert spelen volgens jouw interesses en behoeften. Ik heb een bachelor in piano pedagogy gestudeerd en ik ben nog steeds in opleiding. Momenteel studeer ik voor een master in pianospelen aan het Utrechts Conservatorium. Ik heb ook veel cursussen gevolgd van grote meesters at ik heb deelgenomen aan internationale pianofestivals. Mijn lessen zijn een combinatie van leren en genieten.

I am a classical percussionist and a drummer, with many years of teaching and playing experience. I completed a Bachelor and a Master course in classical percussion in Italy, now I am studying a Master in Jazz & Pop drums at the HKU in Utrecht. I have an excellent knowledge of musical theory due to my studies and I love teaching because sharing my passion with others is important to me. I have experience teaching many students, between the ages of 5 and 50, since I was 18. I taught in two music schools, led projects in kindergartens and gave percussion instrument lessons in high schools. I trained students as percussionists in two school orchestras. Additionally, I used to write and produce learning materials with my students, to encourage accessible learning. My main teaching objective is to help students to find their personal way of playing and studying, without forgetting the most important thing; having fun. I understand that music should be fun, and those students not having fun will not get the best results. I usually start my lesson with the basics such as reading music, holding sticks and posture. I evaluate the student’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to reflect and evoke healthy self-criticism, to help them improve with a positive attitude.  I always try to inspire my students, and at the same time I am inspired by them, as by playing music together we can learn a lot from each other. Whilst my students have learned a lot from me, likewise, I have learned a lot from my students and this has been very valuable to my development.  I believe I would be an asset to you, because I am a flexible, open minded, experienced teacher.

I am a Greek pianist and accordionist, and I give lessons of piano and music theory to kids and adults. I obtained my Classical Piano and Classical Harmony Diploma in Thessaloniki, Greece, and I am currently in the Master's Program (Piano Performance, second subject Music Production) in the HKU Conservatorium, specializing in Contemporary Music and researching about the combination of Piano with Live Electronics. During my studies, I have joined many concerts (solo, chamber music and bands), I have made recordings, played with electronics, accompanied puppet theatre and composed music in DAWs like Ableton. I have been working as a classical music teacher and accompanist in music schools for the last 6 years. I can also teach basic skills of sound synthesis and electronics. Learn to enjoy music together while playing cello with me! - I help to prepare for music/cello exams towards Music Academies as well as I assist students with practicing. - I work with beginners, helping them with the basics of cello techinque together with basic music theory - One of my methods while teaching is to play together with a student as much as possible to teach them the art of chamber music but also good communication skills while practicing together. - I combine different methods depending on the student's needs (and technical level) - as a professional cellist with an educational studies background I implement different psychological ideas including observational learning, ideas of Piaget and Vygotsky, and others - I use the background in Feldenkrais technique lessons in my own teaching
