If you are interested on Music Theory, a keyboard or a guitar would be helpful, but is not necessary, I can use my cello for the explanations.

Cello lessons. The best instrument you can choose!
Enjoying learning music is the most important thing for me. Wether you are studying music as a hobbie, or you are preparing your professional career, we will focus on being the most efficient and learning as much as possible, while having a good time. Of course learning music requires discipline and hard work, but it can be done in an interesting and satisfactory way. Flexibility is my main feature: my goal is to give you what you need through a dinamic method that adjusts to your personality and specific way of learning. I offer one-to-one lessons as well as group lessons for people of all ages. Duration of the lesson is flexible and it is also possible to combine the content of the lessons between cello, piano and music theory. We can speak in English, German or Spanish (and little by little more Dutch as I am learning) and the lessons can be booked on the go or set in advance. In all lessons, music theory will be present in a natural and organic way. Contact me if you are interested! :)

Classical Piano & Music Theory lessons for all levels
The focus of this class is to learn how to play the piano but most important how to make music. Music is a language that expresses our feelings & ideas and connects us with other people but also with ourselves. Together we will can work on the basic principles and tools to play the piano, setting a healthy technique but also cultivate your personal sense of music. Further on, we can explore new repertoire and unknown composers, refine your playing and learn how to deal with difficulties, discuss about interpretation issues and even work on your performance on stage. With music theory, we can dive into the alphabet and syntactic of music: the world harmony, rhythm, solfege and analysis.

Understand What You Play on the Guitar - Harmony,Theory and Music on the fretboard
The internet is full of videos and tutorials about songs, chords, scales, licks and even music theory. But if you're tired of playing that song, or that lick, without being able to change it, then this class is for you. Before I entered the conservatory, I could never really understand what I was playing. And that was preventing me from expressing my musicality. By this I mean, I wasn't able to change a chord, or do a variation on a melody, or even creating an Intro. And this requires not so hard skills that can easily be developed just by thinking in music by its harmonical context. In my lessons I'll garantee you learn all this skills and you start making music since the very first day.

Flavia
Cello lessons in Dutch, Spanish or English (live or online)
Do you want to learn songs from around the world or invent your own? do you want to play happy birthday to your best friend with a cello? Let's explore together this beautiful instrument with pieces that you like, finding different ways to play one thing, becoming actors on the stage of music... Let's create games to develop creativity and technique, those that will help you to personalize your way of playing . With music, we learn much more than just playing pieces. I always thought about how the ancient Greeks introduced Music as an essential subject in school. Music was to heal, to entertain, to get to know yourself more. I'm just finished my studies in the University of Arts of Codarts (Rotterdam) and I can't deny I will always keep learning after finishing my degree. I'm looking forward to sharing some knowledge and to hear what you already know. What can I offer? Styles that we can work on: Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop music. Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello. How do I work? Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you. For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Additional Activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. It's very necessary to play with people and not get stuck in our own individual studies! Do you have doubts or need more information? Don't hesitate to write me a message!

Music theory, composiition and solfège for everyone
Music Theory is known as a tough and scary subject but, as everything, it's a matter of teaching/learning method. During the class you will learn how to deal with music theory trough a practical approach, learning by doing we will put the focus on your needs, and I will guide you to the aim. Both if you are a musician who need a couple of extra lessons in order to take an exam, a songwriter who wants to improve his/her theory knowledge or if you are just a passionate learner, I can help and support you, finding the best learning path and guiding you trough the rules of the music architecture.

Bandoneon Lessons - Learning from the instrument's technique
Bandoneon is a very well know instrument for playing tango, in fact it's part of the genre's DNA. However, not many people know that the instrument was constructed in Germany and some people even say it was supposed to be used as an portable organ. This means that the Bandoneon has a technique that is independent of any genre. This technique is not found by coping other instruments such as the organ or keyboard but through the development of the nature of the instrument. This is mainly the importance of the air and how it is affected by the pulling and the movement we make when we play. Of course Tango will be an important axis of the lessons as it very important for the development of the instrument and for specific techniques but Tango won't be the starting point as it's not the best pedagogical tool for learning the instrument. But no worries, we'll get there ;) Have you ever wondered how a Gregorian chant, Bach, Mozart & Chopin might sound in the bandoneon? The results might surprise as you would get a very different sound from the one you are originally used to. Also, we can try and use the bandoneon for different and new genres, who knows what we might discover from the instrument along the way?
