History (European and World) for all ages (iGCSE and IB help)

I specialize in tutoring History, specifically in regards to the IB and iGCSE. I can give in-depth aid with topics which include:
- Nazi Germany
- Germany under Weimar Republic
- Russia (1850-2000)
- Cold War (1943-1991)
- Argentina under Peron
- Cuba under Castro
- China 1911 - 1989
- Rwandan genocide
- the Kosovo war.

My goal is to aid students in studying efficiently and actually enjoying it rather than feeling overwhelmed. I will provide information on how to prioritize their subjects and study for each without being put under pressure.

Furthermore, I will give tips on essay writing skills to ensure they write an essay that will gain them as many marks as possible. When it comes to essay writing, the more simple your structure is, the easier it is to express your thoughts and therefore, gain the points required in the exams and/or assignments.

I will give students learning goals and assign homework if I feel that it is needed however, I will not add to their workload for unnecessary reasons.

About Me

I am an Iranian who grew up in the UAE and obtained an IB Diploma in 2019. During my studies I had to tutor several fellow students as well as younger (GCSE) students. Throughout my experience I faced the challenge of having to understand what study methods work for which students and when I figured it out I was able to adapt my teaching methods in order to tutor in the most effective manner.

I would describe myself as an enthusiastic tutor that will make you do a lot of efficient learning in a short period of time. In regards to my teaching method, I can simplify content that can sometimes be overcomplicated in textbooks in order to allow the student to gain a more in-depth understanding which will subsequently allow more intake of knowledge.

Education

I have obtained an IB diploma in high school at GEMS Wellington International School in Dubai.

I am currently studying a bachelors in European Law at Maastricht University

Experience / Qualifications

During high school I mentored younger kids (year 7-9) with getting used to studying secondary school information.

I have tutored iGCSE and IB students in English (Language and Literature), History and Psychology

History is the vector that allows us to better understand our society, the world in which we live. It is essential for general culture. The level of the course will adapt to the level of the student, from primary to university. It is also possible to adapt it in relation to an exam or competition to be taken, or to a person wishing to complete their general knowledge on a particular subject.

History of art history, art valuation and art market. For beginners, bachelors and masters
Art history is a hobby for some people, for others it is a working tool to analyse the social and cultural context. It helps you to orientate yourself in the world of rapid change and globalisation. The understanding of cultural discourse is a rich and unique background which may impress your interlocutor and gain you points in the eyes of your friends and colleagues. One of the main goals I try to achieve as a tutor is to encourage my students to explore the art world around them. In my lessons, I create a friendly environment to teach how to analyse paintings having factual information, and how to look at the art from the big scale perspective. The lessons are specifically tailored to my student's interests, weaknesses and concerns and from this nurture a solid learning style that they will be able to take with them to further education. I have a methodical approach to learning where every lesson is planned, and materials are distributed afterwards to the student. I am always ready to adapt the lessons quickly to the level of the student’s preparation and knowledge, receiving feedback from parents, students or teachers.

History and humanities tutor for high school, CEGEP and university students
Former student of the Preparatory Class at the École Normale Supérieure de Lettres et Sciences Humaines (Lyon LSH), which is one of the most difficult courses in French education. All history programs on Europe, the Americas (Canada, USA, Central America and South America), the great revolutionary, social and philosophical movements of Western history. A thorough knowledge of geography, geopolitics and economics (with foundations of Law), are the composition of the courses of this very particular class which, added to the knowledge acquired thereafter, form a sufficient background to offer me tutoring, teaching students of all levels. In addition, training in methodology from high school, university, as well as doctoral homework will help me to offer you a complement in the design of your homework / exams.

Rodrigo Enrique
History for primary, secondary and university students
Learning history is usually necessary to pass certain courses in primary school, secondary school and even in some universities, even if the course we study is not specifically about History. This is because in general, we will have to locate ourselves in a particular context of human societies, their thinking and activities. I am passionate about history and also teaching, integrating the student in the analyzes and explanations, so my classes will depend on the student and their interests. This would be to develop analogies, relationships and even memes regarding the topics to be seen that allow you to approach the content in a more effective way. The virtual/online modality will allow us to more easily access audiovisual resources that support the analysis of the topics, but without neglecting our own reading and reasoning analysis. Understanding the causalities and coincidences of historical subjects, finding similarities and differences between human societies across times and geographical spaces, their ways of seeing the world and what brings them closer and further away from our current situation will be our general objectives.

Tanay
Economics/20th Century European History for IB/A-Levels and IGCSE
I have two years of experience in teaching economics, to students starting their IGCSEs or even IB students. I myself took IGCSE Economics with IB Economics and thus hold a strong understanding of the course requirements. The subject has always fascinated me and I understood a while back that knowledge in economics isn’t just textbook-oriented, but it requires knowledge of the real world to go in hand with it. In my classes, I combine real-world examples of syllabus statements to provide students with a clearer understanding of how the knowledge gained applies in the real world. I also place a focus on ensuring there’s a strong level of knowledge retention, so with every class I’ll be spending some time ensuring that content learned in the previous lesson is still remembered. I also inquire into the content the student is learning at school to know how to pace my classes, so often students will find me teaching the content they learned in class again to ensure the knowledge is retained, and that can either be through teaching or by going through practice questions. I prefer to teach online as I think the process is more efficient, and the format I use is teaching through presentations created before the class starts. All I simply require is knowledge of what the student is actively learning in class so I can prepare accordingly. I also provide my email address to each student and make it available to access at any time, allowing students to ask questions even outside of class hours

GCSE Level Classical Civilisation:Roman City Life and Myth and Religion
Classics is an undertaught subject that needs to be brought into the spotlight. Many students outside of private institutions never get a chance to learn about this amazing subject and all it can bring for someone, such as knowledge about the Ancient World and its customs, as well as more physical rewards, such as impressing colleges with a unique course.
