I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it! I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical. While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain. My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

I am an enthusiastic professional violinist and teacher. I can teach you classical violin, folk songs from Greece and Middle East, as well as your favourite pop tunes and tunes of almost any other music genre! Being well classically trained, I can help you build a solid violin technique and prepare you for giving your best during important music occasions such as exams, auditions, concerts etc. Also, being member of pop - oriental bands with concerts around Belgium, France and Greece, having played with several classical and contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, as well as coming from a family of musicians, my lessons are ideal for students who want to learn to be at ease when they eventually make music with others. :) All pieces can be taught either by ear, music scores or BOTH!! Teaching you basic and/or more advanced music theory to facilitate your violin learning if you don't know yet how to read and write music, can be easily done! My personal experience with music psychology and body movement techniques for musicians have enriched my knowledge and teaching skills. Extra attention is given during the lessons to not only help you build a strong and steadfast technique and develop your music ear, but also to acquire a confident presence and attitude for when you play for others! Sinds ik 4 jaar oud ben, neemt piano een grote plaats in mijn leven en hart, doordat mijn vader me sindsdien heeft lesgegeven. Ik ben enorm enthousiast om mijn passie te kunnen delen met geïnteresseerden, wat hun leeftijd ook is! Ik let veel op de positie aan de piano, zodat er geen injuries zouden opkomen. Ik praat ook veel over muzikale lijnen en hoe een goede klank produceren piano op. Als u geen notenleer heeft gevolg, ben ik heel blij om daar ook mee te helpen samen met de pianostudie. Piano spelen is voor ieder heel persoonlijk, zowel technisch als muziekaal. Daarom vind ik het heel belangrijk om de beste oplossingen te zoeken en me aan te passen aan elke individual leerling, zodat hij of zij zijn eigen band met muziek kan creëren. In our lessons you have to option to learn classical music, popular music, jazz, how to improvise, solfege and (advanced) music theory. This based on the students level and needs.

The flute it’s a quite complex instrument, where the challenge is to find the balance between all the parameter, such as posture(in order to learn how to play fast passage), lips and everything concerning breathing technique(in order to get the best clear and powerful sound). It’ my job to guide the student in order to let him/her find that stability in order to get best results possible.

Lessons are individually and carefully adapted to student’s age, level, desired outcome. From youngest students, to whom the music and playing the basics are served in a playful way based on making the music important part of their development to advanced students with whom we can refine all the musical details and prepare for professional careers.

I took lessons with Kristof Neyens (rock school leuven) for several years, and now I would like to share my experience. Classes: Depending on your preference, we can draw up a lesson plan together with individual assignments. I also try to work as much as possible with the genres that you like to listen to yourself, this is of course more motivating (after all, you don't want to try to teach Mozart to a Metal fan ;)) My approach is certainly not like that of the 'music theory' at the academy. From your first lesson you will immediately start playing songs. I only use music theory if it is really necessary or if you would like to delve into it. Practical: I follow distance education so I can actually go at any time of the week, online lessons are also a possibility.
