Having worked for many music education establishments over the years, I have a strong foundation in classical based violin and viola teaching & performance (currently viola player and resident composer. I have also enjoyed a long career in folk fiddle / electric violin styles, (playing in contemporary folk bands) with festival and touring experience in the UK, Europe, and Scandinavia. In 2014 I gained a PhD in Electro-acoustic string composition and modern performance practices.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

I come from a family with a long and distinguished tradition of violin teaching, rooted in one of the most influential violin schools of the twentieth century. I'm currently a piano and music theory teacher at AMT, which is an institution near my hometown.
