About Me

My way of teaching Italian is based on having fun. I believe it’s the only way you get confident with a different language than your native ones.
I’ve had the same experience in learning English, use arts, films and books. Remember you don’t need to be perfect like we aren’t when we learn English, yet you still understand me right?
We will be able to have you speak fluently, to learn the basic grammar and to be able to have a normal conversation just like Italian people do, you are nothing different.
Our lessons will be based in conversation, explanation of basic sentences, pronunciation, mouth positioning to pronounce the correct voice sound and fun exercise and homework. We will be watching videos and films together and I will ask you to repeat and meanwhile understand in order to let your brain get used to certain words, the rest will be come automatically with time!

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing.

Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing.
We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis.
We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them.
In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

I'm Giorgia and I come from Torino, Italy.

I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts.
