I'm a TESL-certified, PhD-holding college professor from Canada spending a year on sabbatical in Valencia. I love helping people improve their speaking and writing skills. I'm an expert, but I like to make my lessons as fun and engaging as possible. Lessons can be online or in-person.

I have been teaching English for 5 years to various students of different levels and ages, both online and in person, whether individually or in groups. I have a degree in "English Language and Linguistics and English Literature" from the University of Glasgow. I am a native of the United Kingdom. I have in-depth knowledge of the Cambridge exam format. I always try to make my classes informative, useful and, above all, fun. Furthermore, I try to ensure that the classes adapt as much as possible to the needs of each student. At the beginning of the course we have a conversation about the student's objectives, whether it be practicing conversation, improving fluency, grammar, vocabulary, or simply school reinforcement.

Spanish for all ages and levels. Classes are adapted to the needs of each student. They can include grammar, vocabulary, set phrases, conversation, and much more! I usually make them very dynamic so that students learn quickly and effectively. I can do group classes although I prefer to do them individually so I can focus on the difficulties of each one. When a student has an advanced level (higher than B2) I like to do debates of all kinds, games adapted to age, talk and compare different countries, exchange ideas, cultures, etc. 60 minutes goes a long way! You will not get bored.

If a teacher’s class average is an A, but the worst student gets a D, that teacher will celebrate. As your tutor, I will only celebrate when you get the grade you want. I give private classes, mainly English or Spanish classes. But there are also several basic level subjects that I can teach for children up to 4th grade. Regarding the methodology of my classes, I like to teach based on significant content, related to the interests and needs of the students to foster interest in the subject. Therefore, I try to design activities and exercises that are governed by a context that is enjoyable and fun for the student instead of teaching from dense theory and isolated words or phrases. I like to transmit the language as a communicative need and not as an academic process. That is, teach the language for daily life, not just to fulfill a subject.
