This applied music theory course is for any passionate musician, regardless of level. It aims to broaden his musical knowledge and abilities by understanding music as a whole. The goal is to be able to decode and understand how a music (not only of classical style, but also pop, jazz, rock, electro, ...) was composed, and to be able to use interesting harmonies oneself. and solid in a personal composition / production. It is made up of two main topics: * Harmony (building chords, understanding chord diagrams, learning to Harmonize a given melody, the possibility or not of using these Harmonies in a given style, etc.). Harmony is a course open to all and all levels, no prerequisites to have. Any passionate musician will find interest in it, that's guaranteed. * Writing is a much more targeted course, which is already an introduction to classical composition. In this branch, we will develop the rules of classical writing (parallel fifths and octaves, false relations etc, ...) within the framework of an exercise based on a given melody or bass (in the first case it will be necessary to invent harmonization and compose a bass, in the second, it will be necessary to invent the harmonization and the melody). Music is a dynamic art, and is my believe that it is how it should be taught. Practice is as necessary and important as theory, and sometimes even more. Beginner students start playing guitar within the first month, and not long after that they are able to compose their own music. My purpose is that the student open all the possibilities this instrument offers, and not just learn to play 3 chords; in music everything is possible when you know how and when to do it. During my lessons we will find the most suitable way for you to express what you like most. We can learn either how to compose your music and how to play the music you like to listen to, playing both classic and/or electric guitar. We'll practice technique, music and repertoire on the guitar, from classical/acoustic to pop/rock/electronics or whatever you like. We'll practice both composition and improvisation. We'll also practice vocal intonation and rhythmic coordination. Then we'll have a look at the music theory and history, and above all we'll listen to a lot of good music. As you see, the teaching method is tailored on you and everything is really open. Just 2 rules: practice and have a good time! Creativity is not teachable! But everyone has his own creativity to express. Music is a good way to let your creativity coming out, especially guitar is the best and the most complete musical instrument to do it.
