Hello, I’m Rosanna and I am a classically trained singing teacher from the UK. I received my Masters (with distinction) and Bachelors (1st class honors) degrees from the Royal College of Music in London and have sung in some of the world's top venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Palau de la Música, Auditorio Nacional and Teatro Real. I am passionate about teaching and helping you to find your voice! I structure my classes to your individual goals and am happy to supplement school classes. I teach all styles, ages, and abilities. My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12 we start by doing easy vocalise and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favourite songs. With teenagers I also start with some vocalises, a little more elaborate. Depending on the students capabilities we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers and adults, from beginners to more advanced. A classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

I teach you to read the scores with your voice. We are going to learn to sing scales, arpeggios and intervals, and to identify them on the staff to read them. We will also see what is the key signature, the tones and the modes. As everything is sung, we will detach the two mechanisms: the chest voice and the head voice, and we will tune the ear.

I offer private singing and vocal coaching lessons to students of beginner level of different ages Depending on the student's final goal we adjust the repertoire and skills that are needed for obtaining the goal. We will choose the repertoire according to the student's wishes - classical or popular music.
