SashaEnglish (Conversational/business/exam), Math & Science (test prep)
I am an experienced English tutor and have tutored different students with varying abilities.
My class is dependent on the needs of my students including; IELTS, conversational English, Business English, GCSE & A-level (English, Math and Science)
From my experience, I understand that everyone learns in a different way and at different pace, so I aim to tailor my style depending on the student.
My lessons are usually based on the syllabus (and beyond-depending on the student/parent preference. However, I am comfortable teaching certain topics.
Being a student myself I can relate to young learners I understand while they may know a lot about a certain topic, they might not be able to apply themselves to answer the question, therefore, I always aim to include exam technique/questions in my lessons.
The younger children (4 -14 y.o) I teach have shorter attention spans and find it more difficult to grasp new concepts and ideas, so I like to incorporate games, quizes and challenges in my lessons.
Before each lesson I like to test my students on previous topics, the test will be 5-10 minutes long consisting of 5 questions differing in difficulty. This is for me to know what the student does/does not understand, and for the student to reinforce any information.
