As a graduated music pedagogue, I adapt my lessons to the student's needs and interests. My goal is to give an as complete as possible preparation in the technical and artistic fields while keeping the lesson a positive, creative and constructive experience for all students, from the youngest children who didn't learn to read yet to more mature people looking for new challenges. I teach violin and viola from beginner to advanced level and piano for beginners, integrating my lessons with tidbits of music theory in order to give the students wider knowledge and awareness. Group lessons for two or three students are also an option.

Music is my passion and it is a joy for me to pass it on: My educational experience and my training allow me to teach music with games and playful methods in order to learn and play with pleasure, and I adapts the pieces and methods according to the level of the students and their ages. Always wanted to play the violin, but it never happened? Years of your violin not touched and now the will to pick it up again? You are never too old to learn it or to pick it up again! I am a violinist from Hungary - I have completed my Masters Degree in Teaching at the University of Debrecen, and in the meantime I have given violin lessons in various music schools in Hungary. I have played actively in various professional orchestras. From this year I started the Artistic Master's program at the Lemmens Institute. Since my first year at the university I teach private lessons, I have experience with both children and adults. I can teach in English, Dutch, French and Hungarian. I am also following Norwegian classes, and I can give it a try in Norwegian as well.

You can learn the violin every day at any age, as long as you remain curious, critical and playful. I am happy to help you maintain a healthy practice schedule: a balance between working on the basic technique and performing repertoire. In addition, we keep an eye on three important skills at all times: refining motor skills, organizing mental processes ('in your head') and discovering expressive means of expression. Your level of play doesn't really matter. Motivation all the more! Who am I myself? I am a musician who has studied a lot... My last study was a doctoral research on musical ensemble playing. My own music teachers (Jo Vercruysse, Liviu Prunaru, Remus Azoitei, Mayumi Fujikawa) were fascinating figures with an incredibly rich practical experience. They have formed me in the classical tradition of violin playing (although we don't always play traditional sounding music!). An equally fascinating tradition turned out to be that of scientific thinking, which I would later discover at university. A lot of new theories have recently emerged about the relationship between 'body' and 'mind'. As a musician, this has broadened my horizon enormously. I played concerts with various chamber music ensembles at home and abroad. In addition, I was able to experience orchestral projects with inspiring conductors such as Leon Fleisher, Semyon Bychkov, Yan-Pascal Tortelier, Sir Colin Davis, Susanna Mälkki and Trevor Pinnock. I obtained my diplomas at the Royal Academy of Music in London (Bachelor and Master Violin), KU Leuven (Master Musicology) and LUCA School of Arts (Doctorate in the Arts).

I am a Belgian violinist, 24 years old, who obtained her master's degree at the Lemmens Institute last year. As a violin teacher, the fun of the students is central. With a stimulating and motivated approach, we take on new challenges by looking together for a beautiful sound, musicality, relaxation and suitable repertoire. I cater to the interests of each student. I want to make you curious about the instrument and show you all the possibilities of the violin. I have already gained experience in youth music studios, part-time art education and private. Lessons can be given at my home in Leuven or Roeselare.

I am an enthusiastic professional violinist and teacher. I can teach you classical violin, folk songs from Greece and Middle East, as well as your favourite pop tunes and tunes of almost any other music genre! Being well classically trained, I can help you build a solid violin technique and prepare you for giving your best during important music occasions such as exams, auditions, concerts etc. Also, being member of pop - oriental bands with concerts around Belgium, France and Greece, having played with several classical and contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, as well as coming from a family of musicians, my lessons are ideal for students who want to learn to be at ease when they eventually make music with others. :) All pieces can be taught either by ear, music scores or BOTH!! Teaching you basic and/or more advanced music theory to facilitate your violin learning if you don't know yet how to read and write music, can be easily done! My personal experience with music psychology and body movement techniques for musicians have enriched my knowledge and teaching skills. Extra attention is given during the lessons to not only help you build a strong and steadfast technique and develop your music ear, but also to acquire a confident presence and attitude for when you play for others! All is being done with gentle care towards your body's physiology and feelings, and consideration of your learning style. :)) Finally, I'm at your disposal in between the lessons, answering to any questions you might have and offering you support and guidance with your new insights! :D

DRIVEN AND DIVERSE VIOLIN TEACHER | As a violin teacher, I teach in a way that focuses on the pleasure of the student when playing their instrument.
