I graduated in Political and Economic Science at the University of Milan. After working for a year for an American company in Milan, I moved to Australia, where I have worked, studied and traveled for two years.
It has been an incredible experience! I had the opportunity of visiting beautiful places, discovering so many different cultures and developed myself from a personal and professional point of view.
Since two years, I have been living in Haarlem - a wonderful city close to Amsterdam - and to the coast 🌊 - in the Netherlands. I love teaching and helping people to find out more about Italian culture, history, and arts. I would love to use all the modern techniques of teaching that I learned and practiced them with you. I'm specifically focused on English education through applied linguistics, language acquisition and performance methodologies, such as the use of English as a Lingua Franca amongst native and non-native speakers. Continuing education has helped me to recognize the enormous importance of individual learning in combination with group work/training and feedback to improve one's practice and performance. I am an Italian native speaker with a bachelor in Italian Literature and Linguistics. In Italy, I usually teach English to high school students​, or adults who want to improve their skills with this language. Usually, I tend to use a non-academic approach, by focusing on the student's interests and make him/her applying the language to their everyday life, instead of simply learning the grammar rules by heart. Hello! My name is Leonor and I am a Law Student from Portugal. In the last few months, I worked as an English Teacher in a Refugee Camp and Greece and before that I worked as a Portuguese and English tutor to both middle school and high school students. I had a 8.5/9 IELTS score and have lived abroad for several years, so English is a language I'm really comfortable in speaking. I love creating worksheets and powerpoints. Furthermore, I love summarizing the topics I'm teaching in the end of each lesson and making sure the students never leave class with questions. My name is Julia, I'm 25, I'm originally from the south of Spain but I lived in Madrid for the last 7 years, where I studied and worked. I am a lawyer and I am currently living in Leiden, where I study a Master's in Public International Law. I have very extensive previous teaching experience, both teaching English and Spanish to non-Spanish speakers. During the year 2019-2020, I lived in the United States and I worked as a Spanish Teaching Assistant for university students at Skidmore College (NY). In that context, I prepared classes for big groups, as well as private tutoring sessions for students of all kinds of levels.
