University researcher tutoring in Mathematics and Physics. Secondary school/university and casual learning. Including Cambridge STEP prep.

Hi! I am currently a researcher in Mathematical/Theoretical Physics at the University of Bern. My research is concerned with the interplay between quantum mechanics and Einstein's theory of general relativity.

I have been teaching at various levels since I was a PhD student at the University of York (UK), and more recently I was part of the cutting-edge educational project Isaac Physics (isaacphysics dot org) in Physics/Maths/Chemistry at the University of Cambridge.

Here is my teaching experience so far:

- As a PhD student, I taught seminars in several of the undergraduate modules taught by the Department of Mathematics. In total, I have around 500 contact hours of experience in seminar teaching and marking, all of which I have found to be very rewarding.

- As a PhD student, I jointly ran a course for talented high school student wishing to be admitted at high-rank universities, and in particular wishing to pass interviews and the STEP admission paper for entry at Cambridge.

- As part of the Isaac Physics project, I created or helped create some of the online content such as theory pages, problems and books. In particular I helped put together a book on GCSE physics and one on A-level chemistry. Again as part of Isaac Physics, I gave seminars to a variety of high school students and interacted with local teachers to communicate the Isaac Physics philosophy and methodology. I also have some experience giving online YouTube webinars.

- Throughout, I have been offering one-to-one tuition to A-level/IB students, university students and adult casual learners.

I am happy to travel within about 4-5km of my postcode 1005 in Lausanne. Alternatively, I can offer webcam lessons at a discounted price.

Math and Physics by Engineering PhD student (EN/IT)
Hello, I am an Italian Biomedical Engineer, graduated from the Polytehnic of Turin in 2018; I recently moved to Lausanne in order to do my PhD and I am offering help in Math, Physics, and of course Italian. During my Master's years, I had the opportunity to gain some tutoring experience, varying from 10 to 17 years old students. I usually try to concord my method with the student, in order to better suit everyone's preferences. Unfortunately, I still can't speak french, so lessons will be in english or italian (that's good if you study english or italian :).

Young Mechanical Engineer EPF Graduate, I offer courses of support and / or discovery for different fields. Being enthusiastic and interested, I would like to strengthen the skills of the student by examples and even small personal projects (small robots, modeling, programs, ...). To advance and prepare, the student at best I give practical advice and prescreened approaches to best meet his needs. I already have experience in physics-chemistry, maths and willingly covers other areas more broadly if I have the skills.

Trainee at EPFL, I am an engineering student and master student in bioengineering. During my studies, I often had to accompany students who are younger than me with difficulties in their studies. This support is particularly important to me because, during my studies, I benefited from this type of support and helped me better understand my classes. Also, it is important for me to perpetuate this dynamic of transmission and sharing.

Hello ! I just finished the gymnasium in Maturité Biologie Chimie. It's been 3 years now that I'm on the apprentices platform, I teach a dozen children regularly and I do not leave the classroom without my students have understood their subject! I am used to teaching groups of children aged 10 to 16 due to my experience as a scout leader. I also obtained the Youth and Sport license which certified me the possession of a good pedagogy. I am bilingual French English (Cambridge Certificate in pocket !!) and can easily teach English at the gymnasial level. I'm good at math, physics, chemistry and biology.
