Mathematics class to succeed in your science exams

You want to improve your understanding of your course of mathematics 🧠 ? revise for an exam coming soon 🤔 ? revisit some of your hardest exercises or refresh your knowledge of your course 📝 ?

I am here to help you achieve these goals !

Whatever your level or age, we will go through your class material and look closely at what gives you troubles !

Throughout the classes I have given, I have established the following 3-steps methodology :

1️⃣ The review of the theoretical notions and concepts of the topic in order to assess the strengths and the gaps in your understanding

2️⃣ A practical part focused on exercise resolution with an emphasis on :
➡️ a clear and complete setting up of the problems,
➡️ assessment of your methodology
➡️ illustrative examples.

3️⃣ A review of what have been done and a feedback on the positive aspects and the aspects that still need to be worked on.

About Me

I am a student at EPFL, in the Master of Life Science Engineering and I am passionate about Bioinformatics, Mathematics and Physics.

I have been studying sciences-related topics intensively for the last 5 years and would like to help students who are eager to learn more.

I love teaching and being able to pass on knowledge to curious students !

The method I used for teaching consists in 4 steps :

First, we have to understand the problem to see clearly what is required.
Second, we have to see how the various items are connected, how the unknown is linked to the data, in order to obtain the idea of the solution, to make a plan.
Third, we carry out our plan.
Fourth, we look back at the completed solution, we review and discuss it.

Cours privés de mathémathiques et physique pour gymnasiens
Cours de chimie pour étudiants en première année de médecine
I help you succeed in your math exams by targeting fundamental concepts and typical examples from your math lessons to prepare you for your graduate studies. Since 2019, I have had the opportunity to support seven mature students (from 1st to 3rd year) and 5 students in the first year of university studies (EPFL and HEC) in their understanding of mathematics and in passing their exams. This allowed me to understand the main issues they were facing and to respond to them effectively. With the mathematics programs of the three years of the Matura School and the first year of graduate school being busy, it can happen that teachers present new concepts too quickly or that you have several projects to submit simultaneously, which forces you to to leave out some important mathematics chapters. _________________________________________________________________ Our goal is to rework the parts of the program that give you the most difficulty: ➡️ Elementary logic and sets ➡️ Algebra Trigonometry ➡️ Geometry ➡️ Descriptive statistics ➡️ Analysis ➡️ Combinatorial analysis and probabilities ➡️ Complex numbers ➡️ Linear algebra _________________________________________________________________ For this, I use the methodology that I followed during my 5 years at EPFL: 1️⃣ Revision of the theoretical notions and concepts of the problematic chapter in order to assess the strengths and gaps in your understanding. 2️⃣ A practical part focused on solving exercises with an emphasis on: ➡️ a clear and complete establishment of the problems, ➡️ evaluation of your methodology. ➡️ illustrative examples. 3️⃣ A review of what has been done and feedback on the positive aspects and those that still need to be worked on.

special courses in Mathematics (Algebra Analysis) and Physics
Math or physics course for high school students or students with their course support to guide me to better meet the expectations of their teacher. I am very attached to the organization of a course, the student must have understood the key points of his course (definitions, theorems). Then we attack the exercises gradually increasing the difficulty.

Enguerran
Private lessons and support in maths, chemistry, french
Student in the first year of a master's degree in Chemistry at EPFL, I offer individualized pedagogy, assistance in preparing for questions or exams as well as homework support. I can offer you a level ranging from high school to gymnasium My goal is to help you progress while enjoying studying subjects that are not always easy for everyone.

Jad
Individual Course in Math-Statistics-Probability-Analysis-Algebra
Hey it's Jad, specialist of education in Switzerland. In 2014 I started an assistant work for the first year at EPFL. During these years of assistantship I realized how much I appreciated teaching. In particular, I discovered a real passion for the learning process. After completing my master's degree in mathematics at EPFL, I started a master's degree at the HEP (2016/2017) to become a teacher in secondary II (high school) that I have not finished. Indeed, this year was a sort of disappointment in the sense that gym and public education did not fit my vision of teaching. Since the beginning of 2017, I have embarked on school / university coaching based on modern concepts (which are taught nowhere in Switzerland) such as motivation, self-efficacy, memorization, creativity and management. emotional.

EPFL Master Mechanics helps you succeed in your math & physics exams
Today in master's degree in energy at EPFL, I offer maths, physics, chemistry and science courses in general for students of all levels. With a demanding bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, I am ready to put my knowledge and my pedagogy at the service of your success. I approach my classes in a structured way, we will see together the course and the bases that the student follows to make sure of the total comprehension of the subjects discussed, before being able to carry out exercises to put into practice and to consolidate the theory. I will first let the student do the exercise independently before reviewing together the positive and negative points. I have already given tutorials in Mathematics and am currently attending the Bachelor's First Year Physics course. I received a training dedicated to Student Assistants to train them in this assignment.
