Santiago is a kind and fun teacher, attentive and attuned. He is also very good at creating a space where you enjoy the music you play/make regardless of the level you are at.
I think that learning as an adult is a bit challenging. However, Santiago's classes are fun and it feels easy to learn. I feel I am progressing and I enjoy the lessons. Also, in every class, I discover something new about music! He is also relaxed while teaching which helps a lot when I make mistakes. I love learning with him :)
Santiago is a great teacher! I can totally recommend him for beginners like me. He adapts well to your needs and is always very happy to answer any kind of question you may have.
Hele leuke getalenteerde leraar! Ook echt supergoed en geduldig met kinderen!

Guitar and Music Theory Lessons by a Qualified and Experienced Teacher
I specialize in teaching about Music and how to play the Guitar. In class, I always make the effort of understanding what are the goals and interests of all students, as well as their own skills. This way we can address the issues at hand more effectively and make sure the student never loses his/her interest and focus in music and his/her instrument. I believe that an honest and friendly relationship between teacher and student is essential for this exchange of ideas to happen more clearly and fluently, and so I do my best to make everyone feel comfortable enough to share their own thoughts freely. I offer good and personalized classes. This means that there will special care with your interest in music and guitar, all basic skills will be worked upon and strengthened, all specific requests and ideas will be addressed, both improvisation and interpretation can be developed and exploring potential, achieving goals and having fun are main priorities. Come and enjoy learning more about Music and Guitar!!

Piano and theory lessons in Jazz / Pop / Classical / Rock etc
Hi there! I've studied jazz piano & composition at Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Helsinki Conservatory, played live concerts & recorded albums with many various artists in different genres from jazz, rock to classical music. Currently I offer only lessons via Zoom-connection.* I use a camera above the piano keyboard, so you'll see my hands and the keys clearly when showing playing examples. Every student is very welcome in my lessons. We'll start from where you are in your playing and I'll structure the lessons around your interests. So if you are a beginner or perhaps a more seasoned player, you are very welcome. If you have any questions about my lessons, I'll be happy to answer them! After the lessons I make a PDF for each student about the theory we discussed and other details if necessary. *live lessons available in Amsterdam from August-September 2021 onwards. We take care of proper covid-measures if the pandemic is still.

Javier
PROFESSIONAL GUITARIST WITH MORE THAN 15 YEARS OF TEACHING EXPERIENCE - ALL LEVELS
Hello, my name is Javier. I am a guitarist, composer, sound technician and music producer. I work professionally, especially in contemporary Jazz. Don't hesitate to look for me on Google, Spotify and YouTube! During more than 15 years of experience as a teacher, I have developed several methods and exercises for teaching guitar and music (songs, theory, composition, improvisation, harmony, etc.) for students of all levels and all ages. I have already had students from 6 years old to 74. I believe that the most important thing is that the students manage to find the motivation to practice regularly with the pleasure of progressing. //METHOD// The most common is the use of songs that the student chooses and take advantage of this to work on more general concepts of music and the guitar which are important to acquire a solid base without bad habits. For more advanced students the learning process is determined together by setting personal goals. The teaching method is totally focused on the individual needs of each student. Students with any level of knowledge in music (self-taught, beginners, advanced ...) are accepted. //INTERVIEW// 01 - Since when did you develop a passion for music and more particularly for your favourite instrument? - I became interested in the guitar at the age of ten. I had a friend who played "Blackbird" music by The Beatles and I was fascinated. From there, I started to study and I continue to learn today. 02 - What music can you listen to on repeat with the same pleasure (and without going crazy)? - Beethoven's Seventh Symphony. 03 - Tell us about the most difficult or amazing lesson you have given! - It would be a class where I have to explain the major and minor tonality and all its variants in one hour of class. But I will get there! 04 - In your opinion, what is the most complicated instrument to master and why? - It was impossible to answer. Each person has different predispositions. For me to play the piano at a high level would be complicated for the need for independence of the right and left hands. In this sense, the guitar is easier. 05 - What are, for you, the keys to success (apart from those of Sol and Fa)? - CONSTANCE, it's always better to practice a little every day than a lot once in a while. PATIENCE, learning an instrument takes time. You have to learn to coordinate the body and the brain and take new paths from time to time. And the most important : DON'T BE AFRAID OF MAKING MISTAKES, to learn it is essential to make mistakes and this should not be a reason to stop practising, on the contrary, it should be a motivation to improve. 06 - Name 3 musicians with whom you would dream of jamming in a bar at 2 a.m. and tell us why! - Tigran Hamasyan, Reinier Baas, Avishai Cohen (bassist) 07 - An anecdote to tell in relation to your job or your schooling (and not necessarily the party you had after entering the Conservatory)? - When I started giving lessons (I was 17), I had a 10-year-old student, when I suggested things to do, he looked me directly in the eye and said: No! But with patience, after a while, I managed to make a connection with him and at the end of the 3 years he played the guitar very well and we became friends. Now he is more or less 25 years old. 08 - What is the little touch that makes you a special teacher adored by all his students? - I am very patient and I always find the best way to explain for each student.

Music Mixing Engineering for All levels - Learn how to get the best sounds from your recordings.
Mixing a recorded music is the art to connect musical ideas to emotions. Whether it is your music or someone else’s recordings, I’ll help you develop your skills in order to give the perfect “make up” to any song. But what exactly is Music Mixing Engineering? Imagine that you recorded drums, bass, keyboard, guitars and vocal. Now you have to put everything together and be able to listen to all the instruments with perfect sonic separation. You need to match the emotional intention of the composer to the emotions of the listener. The decision to make the voice louder or not, bring the guitars to attention only in a specific moment of the song, specify the type of reverberation and so many other decisions is the responsibility of the one working on the mix. I’ll teach you all the 7 main steps for every successful mix and work in-depth each of those according to your development or previous knowledge. I’ll fine tune the lessons specifically for your needs. We can work with your recordings, but if you don't have one, don't worry. I'll bring multi-tracks recordings of different genres for you to learn and practice along. Common Questions: - Do I need to be a musician to mix a music? Although it certainly helps, you don't need to know how to play any instrument. - I don't have monitors or an acoustically treated room, can I learn anyway? For sure yes. You can use headphone and simple speakers like the one from your notebook, for example. Once you'll understand the techniques and develop your hearing, you move to the next level. - Which software (DAW) should I use? If you're starting now, I recommend Reaper or Logic Pro. If you're already experienced, any DAW of your preference. Book now and start learning from beginner to Pro the art of mixing.

Clarinet and solfege lessons in English and/or Spanish
Hello, My name is Jaime and I am a Spanish clarinet player, composer, and teacher. With over years of experience playing the clarinet and having immersed myself in teaching for the last few years, I am currently completing my professional studies in clarinet and composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with professors Arno Piters (Royal Concertgebouw Orkest) and Hans Colbert (Residentie Orkest Den Haag). I see teaching not only as a way to pass on my (still growing) knowledge but also as a way to learn along with my students in a cheerful and inspiring way. During our classes, we will learn the basics of clarinet playing, as well as how to use these basics to build your own way of playing and learn simple songs, intermediate pieces, or world-class concertos! If clarinet is not your thing but you want to learn music theory I can also help you with personalized classes to suit your needs. Maybe you want to learn basic notation reading or solfege, or perhaps you want to audition for a renowned institution as the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Whatever your need is I will find a way to articulate a plan we can follow so you can achieve success on your musical adventures. Aside from lessons on the students' place of residence, online lessons via skype or zoom can also be scheduled at a reduced price. I hope this helps you understand how I work and the way I could help you, but if you have any questions please feel free to contact me! Kind regards, Jaime

Improvisation for Guitar on the Minor Pentatonic Scale
Have you been curious how guitarists can come up with a solo on the spot and play for what seems like hours? That is exactly the point of this lesson. We will focus on you learning a few basic scales so that you can improvise over most rock and blues songs. Progressively, we will build your finger muscle strength, and correct techniques for playing. I have taught past students and got them to successfully learn the basics of improvisation that lead them to develop their own soloing style. This improvisation course is made for beginners.

Beginner & Intermediate Violin Lessons (Taught in English)
I have experience teaching violin to beginner and intermediate students for over 15 years in California, United States. I recently relocated to Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students who are interested in learning more about the violin. A bit about myself - I began playing the violin at age 9. I am a classically trained violinist and have performed with orchestras, chamber groups, rock bands, and jazz groups. I have performed in venues including Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House. Though I never pursued violin performance as a university major, I continue to maintain my skill, teach, and perform regularly. I have a passion for music history, and would love to talk about it with the student if they are interested. Please let me know if you have any questions!
