Hi, I'm Karoline! I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Music and performing arts Vienna and have been teaching for several years. Whether you are a complete beginner (of any age) or have been playing for many years - my lessons will be customized to fit you personal needs and goals. For me the most important thing is to pass down my passion for the instrument and music and to teach you how to be confident with your instrument. I can also prepare you for exams (i.e. entrance exams for a music university) and teach lessons in music theory and ear training. In my lessons I like to occasionally use methods from elementary music education, which focuses on musical expression. That way you can practice to express yourself and your feelings on the instrument and the typical fear of mistakes is being avoided. I teach in a beautiful room with a grand piano near the Belvedere. Hello! I am Meric jazz singer - musician - vocal coach and public speaking trainer. If you want to train your ear and sing those fancy notes, there is always an easy way to do that. But of course practice is vital. This class requires basic musical skills. So be sure that you are able to repeat (sing) that you hear.

Learning to play the piano is a wonderful and very diverse experience! Every beginner has to go through it in their own special way in order to realize one's personal aspirations. But sometimes, unfortunately, due to a lack of guidance and direction, the learning process may cause some difficulties followed by unexpected disappointment. If you are in need of said guidance, if your learning experience is not that captivating or satisfying anymore, you don't have to turn away from your dreams of playing the piano - I will gladly help you to get closer to them in a fun and enjoyable way in our lessons! After finishing music school with the highest grades twice as well as a number of additional courses (improvisation, composition, orchestras, etc.) and after honing my teaching skills for more than 4 years, I can safely say that my lessons may prove useful to any type of student with any kind of given objective at hand. No matter your age, your previous experience, or background, you just need to name me your personal goal, task, or even a dream - be ready to dedicate a little time and effort, and I will take care of all the rest. Learning your favorite song, getting prepared for a concert, or simply improving the skills you already possess - in music, everything is possible and achievable, and I'll be more than glad to prove it to you in our lessons.

I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons to students of all levels. As a pianist 12 years of teaching experience and over 21 years of playing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the course of learning piano. If the student is interested in a more serious approach, I can also guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. For example, in the last year my students have achieved highest marks in the ABRSM exams as well as prizes in various competitions. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance/Music from University of Minnesota and TCU-Fort Worth, TX, USA. My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as soloist with orchestra (also as harpist), and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio and look forward to meeting new students.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Considered “Best Colombian Young Pianist 2018” after winning the first prize in the national piano competition in Colombia. I have a Master's degree from Liszt Ferenc in Budapest, Hungary, and a Master's degree from Columbus State University in the United States. Besides my career as a pianist, I have over 10 years of experience in teaching Piano, music theory, and history for all ages and categories. Even if you are a beginner we can make it! I have a personal method where I combine both classical and commercial repertoire depending on the student’s preferences. I usually play four hands with my students as well and organize at least one concert a year with all my students where they can meet and share their experiences. If you are an enthusiast about piano competitions, we can also work on that together. I will guide and support you through all the steps of the learning experience.

I have finished my Master in piano specialisation in Royal Conservatory of Liège, and now I'm following piano accompaniment in Royal Conservatory of Brussels. The program will be tailored according to the student goals. However, diving into the wonders of the piano/keyboard can be a bit overwhelming... and that is where I come in! This course is for anyone from complete beginners to advanced students, from lessons that focus completely on classical music to lessons that include or focus on the basics of jazz/pop. If you like to sing, we can also work on the basics of jazz/pop vocal, so you can learn to accompany yourself at the piano. In our lessons, technique will be an inherent part of the training, as well as analysis, basic music theory, and efficient ways of practicing music. In a nutshell, I am a professional pianist, vocalist, lyricist and blogger. Since 2014, I have taught in various music schools, teaching piano, ensemble, jazz vocal, and solfege. On a more elaborate note, I obtained my Master of Arts in classical piano, summa cum laude, at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent (KASK) in 2017, and studied as a Fulbrighter at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington USA during the 2019-2020 academic year. Every day, I strive to become a better musician and person, and I aim to transfer that passion to my students.

This course is aimed at children who want to start in the world of music. We will learn basic notions of reading the staff and develop the ear, while we get to know the piano, and we explore the possibilities of our own voice. In this course we will also have music appreciation sessions of different genres and rhythms.

I'm looking for student's who not only want to learn a great technique for singing but whom also want to find and develop their own unique sound so they can express themselves through the art of song and tell a story. I am a trained singer- songwriter & professional musician with a BA (hons) in Composition. Originally from london I moved to Brussels to do my masters degree. I am a trained singing with a level of grade 8, I have also spent the last 6 years touring as a front women and also a backing singing with various artists around europe, including 1 top 10 artist. I understand that although it's great to have a strong technique it's also about letting go and having confidence in your ability so you can relax in the moment. I welcome students of all levels and all ages and teach a range of genres from Jazz to Rock. Alternatively I am happy to focus on technique if that is something you prefer to work on. I offer private piano lessons for students of different age and levels. Depending on the student's final goal we adjust the repertoire and skills that are needed for obtaining the goal. My goal as a teacher is to keep and increase the students' love for music as well as offer necessary and appropriate knowledge/skills to keep the student challenged.

The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. What I want you to get from your lessons with me, is not only a huge knowledge of theorical stuff or a great technique, I would like to show you my musical world, the imagination and inner exploration that is required to understand and to love music in a whole new level. Once you have found them, it will be very hard to quit playing!
