Law Classes - Exams, Test, LNAT Tutoring by LSE Law Graduate and Future Trainee Solicitor

Hi! I am a recent LLB in Laws graduate from LSE. I have taught law tuition to degree level students who have secured high 2.1 and first grades in their examinations. My method of teaching is not to make you memorise the law but to understand the law in a simplistic manner, using laymen terms to explain the law which can be often complex or daunting to comprehend. During our sessions, I aim to finish a topic within a class or two before we tackle past year questions together.

After our sessions, I will also encourage the student to use mindmaps/diagrams to consolidate his/her understanding. The student is free to attempt past year questions and we can go through it together during our next session as well. My method of teaching law has resulted in a former student of mine to score a first class honours grade in her EU Law examination earlier this year.

Subjects which I can teach, having taken them at LSE include public law, property and trust law, company law, competition law, jurisprudence, tort law, IT law, EU Law and criminal law.

Beyond teaching law, I can also help students with their applications to law firms, having secured a Vacation Scheme and a Training Contract.

Looking forward to our classes and helping you realise your potential!

Education

I am a recent LSE LLB in Laws graduate where I achieved a high 2.1. Before LSE, I managed to achieve 3A*s 1A for my CIE A levels. Beyond that, I have undertaken professional jazz lessons besides regularly performing in Malaysia and London.

Experience / Qualifications

I am a jazz/pop pianist. I was the LSE jazz pianist and have been regularly performing at various gigs, functions and even hotels in Malaysian and London. I have taught several students how to play pop/jazz/play by ear and ever since they have achieved independence in playing the tunes they enjoy and I hope to do the same with you.

Law lessons / Organization of revisions / Personalized planning - Law L1 to M2
This course is for students who do not know how to organize themselves in their workloads, who feel drowned and do not know where to start, or how. They are also intended for students who wish to improve or set up a work schedule. I propose ; - take stock of your organization - to give you personalized advice to improve your revisions - to explain to you how to make your files, if it turns out to be useful in your case (it is not an obligation to learn well!) - to offer you a personalized schedule according to your schedule and your way of working, while respecting your rhythm. We take 1 hour together to take stock - then 2 hours later on average I provide you with a report and a personalized schedule. About me : Young lawyer (4 years of experience), I explain the law as I would have liked to have been taught when I was a student: in a simple, enlightened and rigorous way. I emphasize the method and reflection of my students. I hold a Master 2 in real estate law, two Masters (urban planning and private litigation) and a License. Before that, I obtained my literary baccalaureate, English specialty (promotion majore). I studied at the faculty of Caen, and I obtained my M2 in Brest, with honors. I have a mixed profile, and I can therefore intervene in both Private and Public Law. I can suggest my learning method if it turns out to be applicable to you. I propose another course, where we work in a more traditional way the course points and the application of the methods (see on my profile). See you soon,

Eloïse

International Law Tutoring (Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, Human Rights)
As a 'Cum Laude' and honors graduate of Columbia University and the University of Groningen in International and European Law I have extensive knowledge of these legal fields. I specialised in Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, as well as International Human Rights Law. I give introductory classes in these legal fields as well as more advanced classes where we will also look at current developments and the interplay with other disciplines such as Politics or Diplomacy. Using the Socratic method I try to make my lessons as engaging as possible. This means that I will not simply lecture you but engage in a dialogue/debate with you in order to stimulate critical thinking. I am currently working at the United Nations Office in Geneva and thus have insights into how International Law works in reality.
