Hello! I am a classical pianist with a Master's Degree at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. I have 6 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages and levels. My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations, while passing on my knowledge to help the student to develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music. I'm offering productive music lessons in a friendly environment. I'll guide your development from any level. I treat every student as an individual, and I adapt my approach accordingly - whether making music is your hobby or you have rather serious plans with it. Depending on what you aim for, I'll choose nice pieces/songs andinteresting exercises. I always care about leaving my students with necessary tools for practice on their own when I'm not around to guide them. There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag. There will be enough distance between the student and the teacher. For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades. After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercise too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too. Private Piano lesson, from age 4 above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the number from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G. Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory. The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers. For the age 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

Classes suitable for all ages, levels and tastes. It is not required to have prior knowledge of music. In my classes I offer you in a pleasant and effective way the mind-body integration with the cello. I will quickly teach you how to solve a passage, find the root of a problem, clarify solfeggio doubts and incorporate it into the cello with a physical feeling of comfort, that you feel comfortable and that you can finally enjoy the music you are able to make :) If you are starting into the cello, all the above is valid, it will be your base for takeoff! And if you are already initiated in the instrument, my classes will serve as reinforcement to be able to incorporate new elements that will facilitate your execution. Learning how to play an instrument can fall into many classroom stereotypes; Not if you strive to discover sounds and styles, if you're open to learning not only an instrument but all that is related to music and sound making! I've taught at different institutes and private lessons for +5 years; then slowly began to put together my own method of teaching not only piano, but related subjects to help students gain a broader knowledge and be able to take next steps in their music journey even when they're finished with their music lessons.With all the experience I gathered in working with children and adults, I've composed a method of teaching subjects related to piano performance(music theory, music history, improvisation and creative music composing) alongside lessons on the instrument and piano techniques, as the student proceeds and is in need of more broad knowledge. It doesn't matter wether the student is a pupil or an adult, if they have experience in music or not, there's always a lot to discover together in my lessons; based on the students needs and interests. I usually start with basics of the instrument and give students a general lesson on how the instrument works. As we proceed in our lessons, we will cover techniques and more specific skills based on the interest of the student.Our lessons are very flexible regarding class material and my aim is to keep the lessons always fun and informative as well as following the bigger aim of helping the student to be confidant in their music performing and music creation. The format of our lessons will not stay the same as we work on different pieces, different skills and subjects. There are certain repertoire we will cover but also some of the pieces the student likes to be able to play and understand. We will also work on performing skills, I often organise mini concerts for students that like to overcome their fear of performing on stage or for others, giving them the opportunity to perform their own pieces or from classic piano repertoire.

I am a composer/pianist with a master's degree in composing for film from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a bachelor's degree from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. recently I have been doing my Ph.D. in composition at the University of Birmingham. It is a distant program so I go to the UK 2 times per year. I have 10 years of experience teaching music to children and adults. I’m Yasaman and I have Master’s in Piano performance and I’m currently at the Royal Conservatoire of Hague studying master of Music Education. In my classes my focus is to teach my students how to sight read easily and how to be able to play the pieces that they like apart from our teaching method books.
