I'm a 30-year old guitarist and composer based in Den Haag, teaching electric and acoustic guitar, in combination with music theory (if that is of interest to the student). I teach in English or in Greek. I am half Greek and half Scottish and I have been living in the Netherlands for the last 6 years. I offer lessons in all styles, to all age groups, and for any experience level (ranging from students who have never touched a guitar before, up to advanced players who are looking for new challenges). Face to face lessons are preferable, but I also teach online. I am a patient and open minded teacher, and my desire is to help you learn what you want to learn, and make sure you have fun with playing the guitar and nurture your curiosity and excitement about the world of music creation ! My Credentials: I hold a Bachelors of Music degree from Birmingham Conservatoire (UK), and a Masters of Music from The Hague Royal Conservatory. My experience as a guitarist ranges from classical guitar studies, to playing electric guitar in rock bands, as well as experience as an improviser, performer of notated contemporary classical compositions, creator and performer of ambient and electronic music. I also am very experienced in ambient and electronic-influenced guitar music, which has given me an in depth knowledge also of the guitar in combination with technology such as guitar effects, computer software and multichannel setups which expand the audio palette of the guitar. I have written songs, I have written orchestra pieces, I have worked as a DIY home producer, I have released albums, and I've performed in concert halls, rock venues, squats and festivals. I even some experience in beat-making. My music has been performed in and has taken me to several countries, including Portugal, The Czech Republic, The U.S.A., Canada, Korea, Greece, The U.K., The Netherlands. My Teaching style: My emphasis is to teach you based on your interests and your needs. The lessons are based around each individual student. You bring me the music you like and the things you want to learn, and I build my lessons around that. I've taught students everything from post-rock, to metal, to K-Pop to Nepalese songs... This way the student gets to explore music on their terms, and not based on a pre-decided set of songs or exercises. Alongside this I bring exercises and other songs that help build around the skills we learn through your songs, and help you develop the techniques needed for you to learn to play the music you love. Whatever music excites you I encourage you to bring it to our lesson, as this also gives me a chance to discover some new music ! What's more, depending on your interest, we can also explore music theory, ideas on composition and songwriting, even the basics of how to record your own songs at home. For experienced players: If you are an experienced player looking for new challenges and new perspectives, my wide ranging knowledge of music in a large spectrum of music will help you push your playing and knowledge of music into new worlds ! Topics of our more advanced lessons could include: in depth exploration of the possibilities of guitar pedals, using Ableton live with the electric guitar, reading scores, writing scores, exploring extended guitar techniques, using multi-amp setups, recording your own songs, playing contemporary classical works that include the electric guitar, exploring finger picking, using alternative guitar tunings, going deeper into music theory, exploring genres you haven't heard of (ranging from classical, to experimental, to free jazz, to electronic music)

Japanese professional pianist, conductor and composer, graduated at Conservatoire du Paris, Tokyo University of Arts and Fontys, I give music lessons according to the needs (including the place of the lesson) of each student. I have been teacher at Conservatoire de Paris (CNSM) for 8 years. Currently I work sometimes at Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. As my parents who are both chorus conductor and music teacher, teaching is always my big passion beside of my activity on stage ! I give violin lessons from any level and age (3 or more years old), in a pleasant, productive, and interesting way. I am very familiar with the Suzuki teaching method. If you are not familiar with it, I recommend you to have a quick look at it on the internet, or any other source of information. I can also offer classes in music theory (tonalities, harmony, scales, intervals...etc) and musical language (rhythm, intonation). I'm a professional violinist.

I am a professionally educated bass guitarist and teacher from Hungary, currently based in The Hague (Freshly graduated in master education at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague) I am an active musician since 2014, I have played in several formations from solo performances to bigbands and orchestras. I mostly play in the genres of jazz (free, fusion), metal, repetitive minimal music and contemporary classical music. Besides playing I am quite passionate about teaching, during my bachelor studies I have started to teach in music schools and also in private, and teaching since then. I can teach you jazz theory, composition and my own teaching method too in a very clear way. My view on music is simple: Music is a game, that is why we call it "playing" music. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

I am Dimitrios, I am a greek professional guitarist. I graduated with a masters degree in Jazz guitar from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and also studied in the UK conservatory of Leeds. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
