Painting works as a different kind of language for kids. In an art lesson, a child learns (according to their age and character) how to use this language better, to express themselves more precisely. Many kids are hiding a great artist inside them, but art lessons are not just for gifted kids. And, although there are many great artists who got inspired by children's drawing, the goal is not to train children as an artists, but help them become more aware of the means of expression that are in their disposal , which will later make them more balanced adults, who are aware of the way art narrates the history of our world. This is achieved by familiarizing kids with a variety of techniques and artists. Since the lessons are private, there can be a lot of flexibility with that.

I am a CEDILS certified Italian teacher born and raised in Florence, and I've also been a language student myself for a long time! If you want to be able to interact with Italians quickly, I can give you some tips about the correct pronunciation, fundamental grammar and vocabulary, but also Italian art and folklore. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

In my class, you learn the basics of Blender and we will make a scene and characters to go in the scenes. After that, we will add color and create some easy animation with no rigging whatsoever. So you don't need an expensive computer to animate just a regular old laptop.

I want to encourage people to seek their own inner voice rather than to copy what's already been done, what I have struggled with for years, even during my lessons in an art school. Portrait Sketching is a skill which you need when who don’t have any idea on what to gift people on their birthday’s. Just kidding. In this age of digital media, if you still want to learn physical sketching and painting, you have my heart. The worth of a hand drawn sketch or painting is still more. This class would have basics to advanced techniques of sketching and painting and would require basic pencils, paint and your own brain in the beginning, then we can move to other tools required. Don’t worry if you haven’t painted or sketched before, the worst that could happen is lot of pages being torn but some might turn out to be abstract which we can sell and then split the money, hahaha! that’s it, rest would be fun.
