I offer violin lessons for beginners and advanced players of all ages, regardless of whether they are performance-oriented or "relaxed" :-) That's why I design every lesson individually, it is important to me that the fun factor is never lost! I am currently employed as an assistant violin professor at the Ljubljana Music Academy and have been working as concert master of Philharmonie Salzburg and Ljubljana Soloists for the better part of the last decade. My concert experience involves soloistic and chamber music performances at prestigious venues and festivals in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia and China. My pedagogical approach is very systematic and includes technical preparation, musical interpretation, performance practice of different styles and orchestral audition preparation. I studied violin with Igor Ozim at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and Rainer Schmidt at the Music Academy Basel as well as baroque violin with David Plantier at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Graduated from École Normale de Musique de Paris,Master's Degree. I am a 29-year-old Taiwanese flutist and pianist. Currently, I am based in Singapore and offer individual piano and flute lesson in English and Mandarin for students of all ages and levels. During my studies, I have acquired extensive teaching experience in multiple countries. I have collaborated with many different people during my life as a performer, including soloists with orchestras and chamber musicians. It is this acquired flexibility that I wish to incorporate into my teaching, allowing students to be able to customize their learning while having fun and making evident progress.

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

Learning to play the piano is a wonderful and very diverse experience! Every beginner has to go through it in their own special way in order to realize one's personal aspirations. But sometimes, unfortunately, due to a lack of guidance and direction, the learning process may cause some difficulties followed by unexpected disappointment. If you are in need of said guidance, if your learning experience is not that captivating or satisfying anymore, you don't have to turn away from your dreams of playing the piano - I will gladly help you to get closer to them in a fun and enjoyable way in our lessons! After finishing music school with the highest grades twice as well as a number of additional courses (improvisation, composition, orchestras, etc.) and after honing my teaching skills for more than 4 years, I can safely say that my lessons may prove useful to any type of student with any kind of given objective at hand. I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons to students of all levels. As a pianist 12 years of teaching experience and over 21 years of playing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the course of learning piano. If the student is interested in a more serious approach, I can also guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. I also have successful experience preparing students for entrance to conservatory and for various competitions. Recently, my students have achieved highest marks in the ABRSM exams as well as prizes in competitions. We also have a class concert for interested students twice per year. I am happy working in both a relaxed and serious approach, we simply need to discuss the objectives of the student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance/Music from University of Minnesota and TCU-Fort Worth, TX, USA. My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as soloist with orchestra (also as harpist), and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio and look forward to meeting new students.
