    Offering tutoring for computer science (IT) and related subjects such as digital engineering for pupils, entry-level university students and trainees!

    My lessons are aimed at high-school level computer science (IT) pupils (AHS/BHS in Austria, “Gymnasium”/“Berufsgymnasium” in Germany), as well as entry-level university students and trainees in IT-heavy apprenticeships (“Lehrberuf” in Austria/Germany).

    The length and type of each individual lesson can vary based on the needs and wishes of my clients (project-related several hour-long blocks, weekly 60/90/120 minutes, interventions before tests/deadlines, ...).

    I try to lead my students to suitable solutions by asking specific questions, drawing on previously covered material as necessary to establish links aiding them in their understanding of the subject matter at hand. If all else fails, I’ll suggest a solution to my student and discuss with them how they could have derived this solution by themselves.

    Subjects we could work on include: databases, Linux/Unix, Web, microcontrollers, networking, server-administration, system-level programming, regular expressions, object orientation, state machines, ...

    Extra information

    Lessons are held on-site (preferred; at the client’s home, at my place or a neutral venue) or online. For university-level students, I am mostly able to help you with programming-heavy courses.

    Minimum length per lesson is one hour. When cancelling less than two calendar days before a planned lesson, a cancellation fee in the amount of a full hour is due as well. At my discretion, no fee applies in the event of illness.

    For journeys >15min by bicycle a trip supplement of 5€ per started 15 minutes of travel time applies. In addition, when using public transport ticket fees (both directions, currently 2,40€ per zone) are billed as well.

    About Me

    I have long been enthusiastic of computers ever since I was a child and have read up on and self-taught myself programming, as well as many other software development techniques and related knowledge from computer science and mathematics during all that time. In terms of formal training, I obtained an electronics degree at a Higher Technical College (HTL Bulme) and studied informatics / computer science and linguistics at university for a while. During my time at school and university, I regularly helped my classmates and colleges to understand the subject matter at hand better when they were struggling by themselves. After a longer break from any tutoring-related activity, I recently was already able to help several new students of mine and would gladly continue doing so into the future.

    Several internships and more than one year as full-stack web developer and system administrator, as well as helping out with many Open-Source projects over the past 10 years
    Offering tutoring and other help in programming!
