My name is Maria Fernández, I'm 25 years old and I'm a professional cellist graduated in Spain two years ago. Now I'm doing a Master in Classical Music in the Royal Conservatorium of Gent. During so many years I've been teaching music in different ways and ages (in schools and to private people): To people who wanted to start learning about the musical language or begin to play an instrument, to people who wanted to learn a score or develop their musical tools, to people who wanted to continue growing as a musician and training their listening and people who wanted to improve their theoretical musical knowledge. If you are beginning with the cello or with the music, if you want some extra lessons, if you need to prepare and audition or an exam, if you are doing a high level studies, I can help you. I have been studying and playing the cello for so many years in different places (orchestras, conservatoriums, recordings, musicals…) so I think I can give you some good advices in different areas. I like to think (and I do it in my lessons) that the music is a universal language and that anybody can learn it and understand it. Hello, my name is Silvia! I am an Italian student of Violin, currently attending the Postgraduate Musical Performance Practice at KASK & Conservatorium in Gent. I already have experience in teaching music and violin to children, teenagers and young adults. In those occasions, I discovered how much transmitting my love for music to other people - children, teenagers, adults, any age! - is one of my highest goals within my musical career. Hi! I'm a violinist currently finishing a Master's in Music at Royal Conservatory in Ghent. I started playing violin at the age of 6, and studying with numerous professors made me realize how important an individualized pedagogical approach is for good development. My aim is to motivate students to be creative and enjoy playing music, helping them express their own ideas. A relaxed and natural technique is always one of my focuses, to avoid future injuries and to find ease while playing that will allow you to explore your musicality and feel free.

Learning to practice an instrument well is very important. I really value this very much in my lessons. From the moment one can practice well, it progresses much faster, so that you also prefer to play. I started quite late, so I had to catch up a lot in a short time. In the beginning it progressed quickly, but as the pieces got more difficult I needed new practice techniques. I practiced so badly and that is very demotivating over time. I eventually learned to practice well by asking a lot of different people for help and now I'm making faster and faster progress. I would really like to share this info, so I think I have something to offer for young and old, even if I haven't been doing it that long.

This ranges from the basic chords that make up most pop / rock songs to playing along with the melody or accompanying yourself while singing. So you can play what you always dreamed of in no time! For advanced users: Together we look at what you want to work on in terms of rhythm, soloing or improvisation. Which styles you are familiar with or which you would like to learn to play.
