Currently a doctoral student in international development studies, I give private language lessons to children and adults in Geneva. My pedagogy is encouraging and fun, and I always adapt the approach according to the pupil and his needs. Professional translator English-Finnish and French-Finnish, I am bilingual French-Finnish and I also speak fluently English and Portuguese. Qualified English professor from England, I have a BA and MA in Linguistics (English). I am also qualified for the IELTS/TOEFL exams, IGCSEs A-Levels. I can also correct your written work (university thesis...). I adapt my lessons according to the level and needs of the student. We will work together on grammar, reading, speaking and listening. I will correct your pronunciation and I can give you some lessons based on phonetics. If you wish, we can also work on more specific subjects such as business, medicine, literature, interpreting etc. I travel a lot but that doesn't stop me from giving the lessons via webcam, very appreciated in general by the students (the notes written by the teacher are saved in the conversation, possibility to share the screen for interactive activities, no need to run to the teacher's house 😉 ). You can always try a course and judge for yourself (30 min or 1 hour). All the students who have had the lessons with me on Apprentus have repeatedly booked the lessons (as well as my former student Justine who had her lessons during the Covid and at that time, I was stuck abroad ;-) ). Recently, I had the pleasure to see my student improving from 20% to 90% on her English writing exam after only a few lessons. Hello, I am a student at the Lycée Henri IV (Paris, France) in literary preparatory class (first year, equivalent to a Bachelor 1 in French, Philosophy, History, Latin, Ancient Greek, English). I teach during the school holidays (June, July, August). Patient and dynamic, I listen to students and can support them in several ways: - methodology (dissertation, compound or linear commentary, version in ancient languages, oral and written) - help with homework - more precise courses based on both the cycle, college (Maturity, Switzerland) or Lycée (Baccalaureate, France) programs and the needs of the students (to work on well-targeted concepts, such as for example a work, an author, a genre, a literary movement etc). Teacher graduate of National Education and benefiting from national and international experience of more than 25 years, all my programs are fully personalized and developed in order to allow the learner to reach his objectives as quickly as possible. Currently in sabbatical year after obtaining my gymnasial maturity in Geneva, I offer German and English lessons, as well as homework help in general.
