Private lessons of VIOLIN, ALTO and solfège
Currently graduated from the Master of Music Pedagogy at the University of Music of Geneva, professional violist in the Galaad quartet and in the Camerata du Léman, I propose courses of ALTO or VIOLON to make you love and discover the beauty of music. I offer regular and stimulating tutoring for all ages and all levels. I have a very good contact with children. Built and modular method (including solfeggio work), adapted to the needs and objectives of each to promote progression and the pleasure of playing in the search for sound. My courses offer: - introductory elements for beginners with solid postural foundations - a simple and attentive accompaniment for amateurs who sometimes wish to resume this practice after a long break - Accurate and rigorous coaching for motivated students who are heading for professional studies. Are addressed: - the study of the body gesture (breath release, postural support, stretching, importance and respect of the body) - ear development (singing, correctness) - the analytical mind (methodological structure, note reading and reinforced rhythm) - the inner musical expression that guides all the faculties (awareness of the inner song). Classes can be at my home but I can also move. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them.

Viola and Violin Lessons: Technique, Improv, and a Healthy Relationship with your Instrument
This course is for viola and violin students from the beginner through the high school level. My goal is for my students to foster a healthy and long-term relationship with their instrument. The course focuses on practicing and truly understanding technique, with an emphasis on listening. Weekly assignments tend to include technical exercises, scales, and classical pieces of the student's choice. Basic improvisation is also an interest of mine and, I find, a valuable experience for my string students. I believe repertoire is largely a matter of student taste. Students of mine have learned pieces in the Suzuki books and other classical repertoire volumes, but have also learned pop and fiddle songs according to their interest. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the University of Puget Sound, where I graduated in 2015 before moving to Vienna to study privately for three years. I am currently in the Master of Viola Performance degree at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where I study with Ásdís Valdimarsdottir. I have been teaching violin intermittently since 2009. While my musical education is classical, my performance interests are much wider. I have performed jazz and pop improv, and am currently exploring how hip hop can be implemented on the viola and violin.

With over 15 years' experience in teaching hundreds of children and adults, and over 25 years' experience performing all over the US and in Europe, I am confident in my ability to work with you to achieve your goals! I specialize in viola and violin lessons, in many styles, as well as music theory. As a musician, I have toured and performed internationally, playing and singing with an American-Celtic folk group (Tullamore). I currently sing and play guitar and fiddle, performing and touring with an award-winning Americana group called Brackish Water Jamboree. Additionally, I play first violin with the Hampton Roads Philharmonic orchestra here in the US. I can work with you in many styles, including not only classical, but also Celtic, American folk or "old-timey", American country, blues, jazz, and rock styles. Students describe my style as encouraging, humorous, and relaxed, and after working with hundreds of children and adults over the last 15 years, I am confident in my ability to work with any student, at any skill level, including those with special learning needs or requests. Anne
    Violin, violin-viola and musical training
Hello! My name is Anne. I am a confirmed musician and passionate about teaching. The years of teaching and my diploma of Musician Intervenante made me a confirmed teacher. Classical initial training, I also practice improvised music. In addition, I am very interested in the traditional music of the world and their mode of transmission (orality). These last ones showed me that the learning of the music must above all pass by the pleasure and that it is not necessary to have a very developed technique to do very beautiful things. I am also convinced that there is no one way to play music. Whether you are tall, small, young or old, I will help you to take your first steps or continue the path you have already started. Hope to meet you!
