Ableton Live - Getting your ideas down into a workable format to create a full working track! No prior knowledge needed!
I specialise in making music with the computer when there isn't a whole bunch of theory knowledge there. I can teach you to quickly and efficiently make that tune in your head into a reality, then turn that into a full track. If you have tried a few tutorials or courses and they didn't fit with you because of all the engineering jargon and theory based approach, this course is for you! I learnt to make music because I was hearing all these songs in my head but wasn't good enough at any instrument to materialise them. Ableton allowed me to hash through ideas, jam with them, then finally turn them into a full working track. I have also worked as a live and studio sound engineer so I do have the theoretical knowledge but can communicate in the language of learners from all different levels. I think there are a lot of people that just need to express what they have in there head and Ableton is by far the best program for that. It is very intuitive, "jammable" and so much fun! For me Ableton is my instrument but I also play the drums, piano and bass.

Marco
Music Production and Theory: Everything you need to know.
My name is Marco, and I am an Italian composer and sound designer working and living in Amsterdam. I studied Classical and Experimental Composition at the Conservatory, and then Communication Sciences and Technologies, and Sound Design at the University. After that, I spent the last 8 years producing music and sounds for advertisement, short movies, tv shows, documentaries, theatre, art installations, and so on. This gave me a broad knowledge of how to write music in every different style, and how to do that fast. This class starts with my experience, but I really want the students to build their own personalized plan, choosing on which of these areas to focus on: -Film Scoring -Sound Design -Music Theory -Arranging for Orchestra -Solfège -Introduction to Piano -Introduction to Music Softwares (DAWs) and Plugins -Electronic Music and Beats Production If you need to take lessons at certain times excluded from my timetable feel free to contact me anyways and let's see what we can arrange. Hope to hear from you soon! Cheers :)

Singing Lessons / Recorder (Blokfluit) lessons for all ages
I am a singer and recorder player, studying in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I can teach you recorder and singing and adapt to your tastes and needs. In both instruments, I focus as a teacher and performer, on a healthy, joyful and technically skilled way of playing and singing. With my students, I focus not only on the instrument sound production, but also on body posture, relaxation and organic movement. A happy, relaxed body produces a beautiful, natural and relaxed sound. What music style would you like to learn? Would you like to play folk music, to sing pop songs or walk through a more classical path? I have experience in different areas, having sang and played folk and jazz music and also studied in the Conservatorium for a long time. I can also help you with music theory, from the basic introduction to music to advanced solfeggi and rhythms. I graduated in Musicology and studied Music Pedagogy in Portugal before moving to Amsterdam. For little children I can also combine the playing of the instrument with more didactic activities mixed with body movement and dance! In the past I taught how to play and sing, from little children (4 years old) to adults with around 60 years old, in group sets and individual lessons. I can adapt to your needs and requests! And most of all, you will fall in love with music, all kinds of music and have loads of fun!

Zara
Classical singing and piano lessons for all levels and ages
Dear parents and students, I am a professional singer and pianist from Hong Kong, having more than 10 years of experience in music teaching. I graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in music (with honors), Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with a Master degree in classical singing (with distinction) and also the Post-master degree in classical singing (with distinction). I am currently a professional opera singer working mainly in Germany with conductors and directors from houses and studios such as Theater Rudolstadt, Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, Komische Oper Berlin and Royal Opera House. I am a holder of Licentiate Trinity College of London (LTCL) vocal and piano performance certificates, both with distinctions. Besides, I am a holder of ABRSM Grade 8 music theory certificate with merit. I have given singing and piano lessons to students ranging from 2 to 40 years of age. Very happily, all of them had obtained distinctions at their ABRSM exams, some of them also won first prize at competitions. However, I do not teach music because of this. Distinctions and prizes are bonuses, but most importantly, I hope my students can enjoy and understand music. For beginners, I focus very much on building basic techniques. Alongside with that, I spend around 10 minutes every lesson on things such as ear training, music theory, music history, sight-reading/sight-singing, music composition, instrumentation and conducting, depending on the interest on the student. For more advanced students, I teach more about musicality and presentation. I aim to provide all-round knowledge to my students so they will be well equipped for future development. Since I grow up at one of the best English schools in Hong Kong, I can communicate in English very fluently without accent. Besides English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese are my mother tongues. I am also knowledgeable in German, French and Italian. I am confident that I will provide my students the best learning experience.

Luisa
Singing lessons with singer at the Maitrise Notre-Dame de Paris / Online
My classes are for anyone who wants to discover their voice. I adapt to the personality and needs of everyone and I remain fully open to the repertoire you love. There is no prerequisite to sing, only want to do it! My classes vary depending on what the student needs to work. In a first step, we often work posture and breathing, then we do warm-up exercises, where we look for the connection between the voice, the breath and the body. Finally we work on pieces of music. The voice is a unique instrument to every body, that's why you have to learn to listen to it and understand what happens when you produce a sound in one way or another. Developing this body awareness will allow us to progress in singing.

Gilles
Brussels singer-songwriter gives lessons on music production from A to Z!
MY MUSICAL PAST: After many trips abroad, a training in jazz piano (Antwerp) and in "electronic music production" at the SAE (Brussels), I released in November 2017 my first EP titled "Into The Star" which allows me to to play on several Belgian stages including the Botanique last March. At the moment, I am working full time on my "artistic ambition". My projects are mainly: the imminent release of my second EP "T.eye.M" and the desire to share my knowledge with ultra motivated people and passionate about music. METHODOLOGY: The objective of the training is that you will be able to EXIT A PROJECT ALL ONLY (composition - arrangement - mix - mastering - diffusion) My method is characterized by a trip between two poles: objectivity and subjectivity. Objectivity: Giving through the sharing of my in-depth knowledge on the subject as well as an interesting retreat, allowing to see the music industry as a whole. Subjectivity: Giving through the sharing of my experiences and my artistic points of view on the music and the elements that produce it. The desire to have students for several weeks allows me to know enough about them that to advise them at best in the paths they undertake. The courses will therefore be a balanced mix between: - Training in digital music / computer (MAO / ...) - Training in acoustic music / instruments (piano, guitar, voice, ...) Have you always wanted to have control over your entire production? Do you have ideas in mind that you can not materialize? Come !!!!

I enjoy teaching music to both adults and children. I have taught people that can already play an instrument or sing, but also people that know nothing about it and want to give it a try. I like adapting my methods to the student and his/her interests. Music is for everyone and everyone has their own way to engage on it. I have been trained in: -Classical and Early Music Singing (current study. Conservatorium van Amsterdam) -Recorder (Bachelor, Conservatorium van Amsterdam) -Solfege -Harmony on the keyboard -Music notation

Mariela
Classical & Pop Singing, Music reading and Music History
Hello all! I am a Mexican Musicologist and singer based in Amsterdam. I have been teaching for almost 7 years to different age ranges. //During the Singing lessons you will learn how to breathe and use the 'right' muscles for singing, voice exercises, repertoire and how to improve your music ear, it is basically a relaxing therapy, trust me. We will find together and based on your taste what songs you would like to work on! // The Music Theory lessons are for the ones who want to learn how to read music scores, no matter your level for sure I can keep challenging you with exercises and funny dynamics. Please be patient, to learn music language takes time... //In Music History I specialize in Classical repertoire, so why is Beethoven so good? Why is Mozart so famous around the world? what should you 'listen' when you listen academic music? Adding to this I also compare the music development with other arts and movements, so bring enough paper and pens for this lesson!

Hi! I’m a singer who has been teaching professionally for five years, primarily in Norway and Denmark. I have a masters degree as a singer and music teacher from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. In my classes you will get a chance to fully understand and explore your voice. We might try out different genres (pop, jazz, musicals, classical, free improvisation, etc), all depending on what you want or what we decide will be a fun challenge for you! I believe that there’s not one vocal technique that works for every voice, so together we will explore different approaches and techniques so that you get the sound you want and feel a freedom in your voice and singing. I've worked a lot as a vocal coach in theatre/musical productions and will be happy to assist in audition training/musical interpretation as well. I can also help you with songwriting/composing. Jade
Private lessons of singing, lyrical singing, interpretation and vocal technique on Nivelles or at home
Song, well-being and interpretation The voice is an instrument specific to each person, which is why my lessons are entirely tailor-made around the person and their expectations. Vocal technique Developing your vocal technique allows comfort and ease in the chosen repertoire. This requires a certain discipline and a certain proprioception. Thanks to various exercises I can help you to understand the mechanisms related to the voice and to better appropriate your body to reach a more precise technique. Interpretation Understanding and appropriating the written and musical text is the key to interpreting a work. Together we can explore the multiple musical worlds by discovering the stories told but also those of the authors and composers. Through various exercises in diction, declamation and drama, I will help you convey the emotions of your repertoire. Reconnect to yourself Because the song is intimately linked to our emotions, I offer you exercises to reconnect to your physical and emotional body, in order to know yourself better but also to improve your self-confidence, your proprioception and the transmission of emotions. Who am I I am a young creative artist in live performance and mixed media, trained in lyrical singing during my bachelor at the Institute of Music and Pedagogy in Namur and my master at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève in Neuchâtel. I have a great choir experience thanks to the Choraline (youth choir of the opera of La Monnaie), the Maitrise of Paris, and the choir voces desuper as well as the animation of masses, in particular in the cathedral of Brussels and wedding masses. My experience as an actress and at the opera allowed me a great ease on stage and an inspiration as an author and director.
