Jay’s an amazing teacher, he truly helped me with my university’s application and I really enjoyed his lesson! Looking forward to the next one
Public speaking classes with Jay were top-notch! Even though we held the classes online, he has the rare ability to make you feel at ease in a second and I felt fully engaged. Jay covered a variety of subjects regarding tone, speed, volume, pronunciation, etc. with different exercises. I've noticed continuous progress throughout the classes and I have now a better control of my public speaking skills, which will be of great use both in personal and professional contexts. I highly recommend!
A highly recommended teacher. He immediately understood my needs and wishes, and in such a short time I've already learned so much.
I needed a professional, impactful CV to start my applications for internships. Jay discussed, arranged and finalised the content with me online first, and then he also designed a fantastic editable Word Document, that I will be able to update in the future. And he was very quick too, my CV was ready in two days after I got in touch with him! I'll definitely keep him in mind for future needs.
Jay est un prof très didactique, il explique très bien et est très agréable, on ne sent pas le cours passer.

In this class we may choose from the following towards literacy exploration and development: -current news articles -reports -biographies -reviews/critic reviews -books/ magazines -or literature of your choice My goal is to keep students challenged, but not overwhelmed. I assign homework after every lesson with limitless opportunities to examine various styles of writing which may be practical for a wide array of needs. Included is grammar correction, punctuation correction, proper time tense usage, proofreading, interpretation and text adaptation. Bear in mind that a document of 1-2 pages could require 2 or even 3-sessions depending on the complexity, context and objective of what you may want your end result to consist of.
Mainly for adult and professional learners, this session is dedicated to identifying your needs as a first-time learner of English. It includes an English Assessment exam to help determine your level and assist in diagnosing your current weaknesses with grammar/speaking. What better way to understand your linguistics needs than through the ears of a Native English speaker and trainer?! Find out your weaknesses and strengths so that you can build a plan for yourself. If you are an INDIVIDUAL for private courses, we may meet at a café or bakery. If you are a BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL or GROUP for Career English courses, we may meet at: -your office within central city limits.
This is a communicative English class for developing speech. Here we will explore, vocabulary with nuances in meanings, synonyms, idioms, proverbs, some phrasal verb and prepositional verbs and all-around social English. The possibilities are endless for focusing on Public Speaking, Intonation and Voice Projection as well. This may be stimulated by interesting audios, short readers or videos. If there are topics you have in mind, we can additionally explore and incorporate this into your lessons. If you need to start speaking English, this class is for you!
In this workshop, we will aggregate necessary content from you, formulate and organize your ideas and thoughts with precision, structure and format two drafts of your resume/C.V. and finalize a document that best represents you professionally. Note: Variations of the document (for other contextual usage) can also be created with advance notice, discussion and negotiation. Tools for examination: -curriculum vitaes (resumes) -cover letters (presentation letters), -formal letter writing, -creative writing, -in-kind donation letters, -and related documents! (*This includes punctuation, salutation and apostrophe usage in writing.) Note (specifically for WEBSITES): Translations are also possible; however, thorough discussion about price adjustments depends on word count, whether adaptation/translation/proofreading is needed. Project deadline of completion must also be calculated and agreed upon prior to making your final reservation for such a service.
Need a stronger presence on the web and in English? I can teach you how to generate effective social media and web content through a multi-session workshop. OR Help you generate content via online session, and we will create: - A profile and protocol of your preferences and related creation details (dimensions, logos, etc.) - Aggregate necessary media to be included in the social media content - Discuss various formats and layouts - Discuss your do-and-don’t’s relating to the content - Plan a content finalization meeting so that the contact can be approved before final delivery. Note: I don’t contract plans nor roll-out of your content. That is a different service that requires a different kind of expertise! If for the workshop the class piece is as you see it! If for content, you would simply book a ‘first-time’ consultation session, to discuss preliminary needs through, for your web content and its creation. After preliminary needs have been discussed and agreed upon, you’d make a ‘second-time’ booking specific to the content unit-package you select and the urgency category that you require. Ex: Categories: -Very Urgent (done within 3-days), -Urgent (done within 7-days, -Normal (done within 14-days) Unit Packages 25 units of hand-tailored content 50 units of hand-tailored content 100 units of hand-tailored content I look forward to hearing from you. Let’s get busy!
Explore Public Speaking through... Intonation and Melody When training for a presentation, decide which words and passages deserve extra attention and increase the tone to emphasize these points. If something sounds exaggerated or false, your audience can turn against you. Volume A speech is not ordinary conversation, and a presenter can’t convey passion and enthusiasm if the words are delivered softly. Clarity Don’t forget to articulate every word, to ensure clarity on your part and understanding on the part of the audience. Emphasis Even in the same sentence, emphasizing different words can change the focus of a message. Changing emphasis can alter meaning and/or implication. Pauses when pauses are placed in strategic spots in a speech, they can make the difference between a good and an excellent presentation. There are several purposes for which pauses can be used: to give listeners a chance to absorb something that’s just been said; to generate expectations about something that’s going to be said... Pacing & Tone If you often get negative feedback about the faster or slower delivery of your speeches, practice delivering a speech sometimes faster and sometimes slower, so you can arrive at a natural pace.
As an AcademIc English Specialist, I provide Immersion Courses, American English adaptation/translation services, career-building tools and documents and have a niche for pronunciation correction and TOEIC Preparation. I teach general ESL (English as a Second Language), business and industry-specific English and all-purpose English too! This is also a communicative English class for developing speech. If you need to start speaking English, this class is for you. **NOTE: This class can also be offered and adjusted to accommodate multiple teenagers, adults or professionals as a group session, to make it more economical for you. It is advised that groups not exceed more than 5 persons per session. Charges apply to distances teacher must travel; especially, if out of standard office hours or on bank holidays!!

Tout chanter !
A pioneering and innovative method of singing practice created in Denmark by Cathrine Sadolin twenty years ago, adopted by thousands of amateur and professional singers around the world. First, you have the possibility of increasing your comfort by applying the 3 basic principles for a healthy voice: Support, Twang and opening of the mouth. Then, it is a question of choosing the character of sound that you want to produce, by modifying the adjustment (the shape) which you give to your vocal tract (zone of the larynx, the mouth and the lips), one speaks then the mode in which you sing. -There is the Neutral mode which refers to soft sounds. -The Curbing mode whose sounds are a little louder and restrained. -Overdrive mode for loud and powerful sounds. -And finally the Edge mode for loud and sharp sounds. Anyone can use the 4 modes and switch between them. When you are in control and know the limitations, advantages and disadvantages of each of these modes, you will in fact be able to sing exactly what you want. you have access to several tools to acquire these new skills and this in-depth understanding of your voice. Before committing yourself, I would like you to think about your motivation, whether you are a beginner, an amateur or a professional, I work exclusively with people who are involved in their learning process.

VOCAL TECHNIQUE FOR ALL TYPES OF MODERN SINGING, POP AND JAZZ SINGING LESSONS, VOCAL COACH, VOICE WORK.
I am a songwriter, pop and jazz singer, and voice teacher with 20 years of music experience. I offer singing lessons at all levels. My courses are addressed on the development of bodily and vocal awareness which helps to perceive and consider our body as a musical instrument. My teaching method is the result of the synthesis of my experience as a singer and the many and diverse study paths followed. The lesson is structured in two parts: the first half devoted to vocal technique, the second half to musical repertoire. The vocal technique that I propose is a basic technique for all types of modern singing: from postural education to the care of breathing, from the use of the abdominal muscles, to the emission of air to the cavities of resonance. From a repertoire perspective, the course will be modeled after the student's needs or interests, with an eye for the right attitude to hold while you sing and you are on a stage. I prefer pop and jazz, but I can work with any other modern genre. If the student wishes, I can give him notions of harmony and reading music. EDUCATION I studied song with Bruno De Franceschi (conductor and composer of contemporary classical music and musical theater). I studied vocal technique with the lyric singer David Sotgiu (pupil of Luciano Pavarotti), with the lyric singer Maria Grazia Pittavini (teacher at the Perugia Conservatory) and with Cinzia Spata (one of the most important Italian jazz vocal coaches). I studied jazz singing at the Perugia Conservatory with Marta Raviglia (one of the most important Italian jazz singing teachers) and privately with Cinzia Spata. I studied lyrical singing with Maria Grazia Pittavini. I studied pop and jazz piano with Manuel Magrini (one of the most talented young Italian jazz pianists), I studied jazz piano with Alessandro Bravo, jazz piano master at the Perugia Conservatory. I attended masterclasses relating to the world of singing and voice held by: Maria Pia De Vito (singer), Alejandro Saorin Martinez (voice craft method), Albert Hera (singer, vocal coach, circle song), Erika Biavati ( singer), Eleonora Bruni (singer), Catharina Kroeger (lyric singer), Amanda Tiffin (South African jazz singer), JD Walter (American jazz singer), Matteo Belli (actor and one of the most important Italian experts in voice search), Franco Fussi (one of the most important speech therapists in Italy), Roberta Mazzocchi (speech therapist). EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS I have 20 years of experience in music with around 200 concerts between festivals, theaters, clubs and premises, an album of songs, an EP, singles, collaborations with the world of theater, organization of musical events . I lead musical projects in the field of jazz and pop. The passion for singing and song has inevitably brought me closer to the world of education in which I work.

Ableton Live - Getting your ideas down into a workable format to create a full working track! No prior knowledge needed!
I specialise in making music with the computer when there isn't a whole bunch of theory knowledge there. I can teach you to quickly and efficiently make that tune in your head into a reality, then turn that into a full track. If you have tried a few tutorials or courses and they didn't fit with you because of all the engineering jargon and theory based approach, this course is for you! I learnt to make music because I was hearing all these songs in my head but wasn't good enough at any instrument to materialise them. Ableton allowed me to hash through ideas, jam with them, then finally turn them into a full working track. I have also worked as a live and studio sound engineer so I do have the theoretical knowledge but can communicate in the language of learners from all different levels. I think there are a lot of people that just need to express what they have in there head and Ableton is by far the best program for that. It is very intuitive, "jammable" and so much fun! For me Ableton is my instrument but I also play the drums, piano and bass.

Classical & Pop Singing, Music reading and Music History
Hello all! I am a Mexican Musicologist and singer based in Amsterdam. I have been teaching for almost 7 years to different age ranges. //During the Singing lessons you will learn how to breathe and use the 'right' muscles for singing, voice exercises, repertoire and how to improve your music ear, it is basically a relaxing therapy, trust me. We will find together and based on your taste what songs you would like to work on! // The Music Theory lessons are for the ones who want to learn how to read music scores, no matter your level for sure I can keep challenging you with exercises and funny dynamics. Please be patient, to learn music language takes time... //In Music History I specialize in Classical repertoire, so why is Beethoven so good? Why is Mozart so famous around the world? what should you 'listen' when you listen academic music? Adding to this I also compare the music development with other arts and movements, so bring enough paper and pens for this lesson!

Gilles
Brussels singer-songwriter gives lessons on music production from A to Z!
MY MUSICAL PAST: After many trips abroad, a training in jazz piano (Antwerp) and in "electronic music production" at the SAE (Brussels), I released in November 2017 my first EP titled "Into The Star" which allows me to to play on several Belgian stages including the Botanique last March. At the moment, I am working full time on my "artistic ambition". My projects are mainly: the imminent release of my second EP "T.eye.M" and the desire to share my knowledge with ultra motivated people and passionate about music. METHODOLOGY: The objective of the training is that you will be able to EXIT A PROJECT ALL ONLY (composition - arrangement - mix - mastering - diffusion) My method is characterized by a trip between two poles: objectivity and subjectivity. Objectivity: Giving through the sharing of my in-depth knowledge on the subject as well as an interesting retreat, allowing to see the music industry as a whole. Subjectivity: Giving through the sharing of my experiences and my artistic points of view on the music and the elements that produce it. The desire to have students for several weeks allows me to know enough about them that to advise them at best in the paths they undertake. The courses will therefore be a balanced mix between: - Training in digital music / computer (MAO / ...) - Training in acoustic music / instruments (piano, guitar, voice, ...) Have you always wanted to have control over your entire production? Do you have ideas in mind that you can not materialize? Come !!!!

Singing Lessons (Individual) - Pop, Jazz, Soul, Blues, Rock (in AMSTERDAM)
In my classes you will be deciding what to study, how to learn and in which way you want to approach singing and music in general. You will have the freedom to set up a plan and reach the designated goals with the help of my support. I will show you and teach you different singing techniques and guide you towards finding your personal and unique voice. I will adapt to your needs and will help you to achieve and surpass your goals! I strongly believe that: "The voice is an all-powerful instrument, capable of expressing deep feelings that perhaps no other musical instrument can do. It is directly connected with the soul and becomes the audible expression of it. It converts the invisible into visible, creates new sounds and colors, transforms emotion into music. The voice is a tool to discover, subject to continuous evolution and expansion; expansion that goes beyond our imaginable limits."

Music Production and Theory: Everything you need to know.
My name is Marco, and I am an Italian composer and sound designer working and living in Amsterdam. This class starts with my experience, but I really want the students to build their own personalized plan, choosing on which of these areas to focus on: -Film Scoring -Sound Design -Music Theory -Arranging for Orchestra -Solfège -Introduction to Piano -Introduction to Music Softwares (DAWs) and Plugins -Electronic Music and Beats Production If you need to take lessons at certain times excluded from my timetable feel free to contact me anyways and let's see what we can arrange. Hope to hear from you soon! Cheers :)

Singing, piano and musical awakening lessons for children
Hello, I propose singing lessons for the youngest ones wishing to discover the music and the field of the voice. And also musical awakening lessons that brings together the discovery of music, piano and solfège. The course starts with stretches and then vocalizations and ends with the pieces that the student studies, then if it's a musical awakening class, we work the rhythm and notes of the staff and we finish by working the scales on the piano and small pieces depending on the level of the student.

Singing lessons: improve your vocal skills and have fun!
These courses are intended for singers of levels, beginners to intermediates who wish to improve their vocal skills, as well as for people wishing to better control their voice and gain confidence in situations such as public speaking. The course is generally carried out in two parts: A first part devoted to vocal development and technique centered on three essential points: The agility, placement and connection of vocal registers. After a complete warm-up based on bodily and vocal exercises, I offer you technical exercises adapted to your needs and your level. My role is to give you the keys and directions to achieve your goals as quickly and with maximum pleasure. This part of the work is essential and should in no way constitute an obstacle to learning, which is why I listen to your desires and feelings to best adapt the technical work and make it a real daily ritual. A second part completely focused on interpretation. Let's not forget, the goal of this class is to sing! And the best key to progress and to sing what you like. If you play an instrument, I have guitars and pianos so that you can accompany yourself, otherwise, I would be happy to accompany you on the piano to sing the songs of your choice. We try to work on different songs to make learning as fun as possible! I can also help you write and perform your own songs if you are composing!
