Knowledgeable and frank, Toby was able to provide me with crucial information quickly and efficiently.
Toby kann die Dinge sehr gut und verständlich erklären, ist geduldig und freundlich und passt sich dem Niveau des Schülers problemlos an.
Toby is an excellent English teacher.
I wanted to focus on my pronunciation and accent. He had patiently walked together with me with the various methods. I loved so much how he taught me English.
And I started hearing from multiple friends that my English has improved. Significantly! These compliments made our days :) I would be pleased to recommend him.
Toby is an excellent tutor with top teaching skills..he teaches music theory in a way my 12 year old son understands the lesson easily; Toby is very attentive to my son's needs...
Toby is an outstanding instructor and works with children very naturally. My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Toby for over two months and is eager for each lesson. Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music. Toby is kind, encouraging, and works with students at a level that is appropriate. He has allowed my son to chose music that if fun and interesting to practice, even though the pieces are challenging.
We are located many time zones away from Toby, and the virtual lessons do not hinder our experience with him. In fact, I often sit in to listen to the lessons, as they are so good. My son has had a couple of lessons with Toby while company has been over, and everyone has commented on how amazing Toby is as an instructor. I can not recommend Toby enough and hope to continue lessons with him for a long time.

Violin & Viola lessons: classical style from beginner to advanced
Hello! My name is Julia, I am an American violist and violinist, and I teach in English. I am a graduate of The Juilliard School, an academist with the Kammerakademie Potsdam, and a former violist of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. I teach both viola and violin, from beginner to advanced levels, children and adults. I am also available for practice help sessions or one time coachings. I grew up learning through the Suzuki method, so I teach with an emphasis on developing a good ear as well as good instrumental technique. The most important thing I want my students to develop is a love for music in all its diverse forms and the instrumental technique that will allow them to involve themselves in that musical world! No matter what your goal is in taking lessons, I look forward to working with you or your child and discovering music together!
Student Reviews:
Gidget, 2021: Julia has been a phenomenal teacher. She is knowledgeable, patient, and very accommodating. I have been working with her since a very beginner level, and I have seen incredible progress. She has helped me prepare for auditions and to play in an orchestral environment as well. Could not recommend her more!
Lauren 2019: My daughter loves Julia and has progressed so much in the past few months! Very engaging and professional
Stephen 2019: Very inspiring!

Violin teacher graduate in Paris, lessons of all levels online with his own methodology
I am a violin and viola teacher in music conservatories, with 25 years of experience and 27 years in Symphony Orchestras, I studied in Paris at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. I hold a university degree in violin. My teaching method is interactive, I want my students to have a clear idea of what I am asking and teaching them. With the pandemic caused by covid-19, I perfected my online teaching method to help my students progress. The program that I apply in my lessons is that of the modern violin and viola as it is taught in conservatories. I use all available technological tools to impart knowledge to students. I studied according to the method of the Russian violin school, and over the years I have perfected and completed this teaching system. The results of my violin teaching method are immediately visible to students. My system envisions violin books that gradually lead students to achieve the required levels each school year.

Music, violin, viola and musical language classes
I can teach viola classes at all levels, and violin to students up to the sixth of Professional Grade. I can also teach music theory at all levels and support the study of other subjects taught at the conservatory, such as music history, analysis, orchestra, chamber music, etc.
I believe that the teacher must be able to adapt a lot to the student, and especially in music I find it very important to understand the sensitivity and difficulties of each student. I consider myself a demanding person, but very empathetic and patient.
It is very important to me, apart from all the factors that affect the performance, to emphasize the care of the posture and the tensions of the body to avoid injuries that can be caused by playing the viola or the violin.

Music classes of Violin and Viola from symphony orchestra member and school teacher
Hello,
I'm Ana and I'm a graduated violist, a permanent member of Symphony orchestra "Stanislav Binicki" in Belgrade, Serbia. Before passing the audition in an orchestra in January of 2017, I was a professor of viola and violin in a special boarding school for musically gifted children "Skola za muzicke talente Cuprija", for five years. The school is founded and lead by the "Academy of music arts" in Belgrade. There are three schools in the world of that kind: in London, Moscow, and Serbia. My students got 25 1st and few 2nd awards in the republic and international competitions, and all of them signed in to desired academies in Germany, Canada and Serbia as first on the list and with full scholarships. We still keep in touch :)
I was a member of the Royal chamber orchestra St. George for four years and took part in many world tours. I played also in National Radio and Television Orchestra in Serbia, Orchestra of National theater of Serbia, National Symphony orchestra of Montenegro and National Symphony orchestra in Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I was a member of orchestras which took part in projects "Bridges for the future" in Bern, Switzerland, “Festival Junger Kunstler”, Bayreuth, Germany, “Deutsch-Skandinavischen Jungend-Philharmonie” in Berlin, “Music days international festival” in Russe, Bulgaria, etc.
I am currently a Ph.D. student in the 3rd year of studies in Management for culture and media, on the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Belgrade.
I tend to explain to students as simple and as effective as possible. My students enjoy classes, love to play and ask many questions :) I insist on good technique and posture because even if it takes a little bit more time in the beginning, it makes future progress easy and fast.
Fernando
Violin and viola teacher (Français - Español - English )
“Talent grows through exercise…” - Shinichi Suzuki
I have been giving violin lessons for 10 years, my working method is based on the Suzuki method, the mother tongue method. A child first learns to speak before learning to read and write. Language learning is done mainly by listening and mimicry. For music, it's the same, you must first master the basics of the instrument before knowing how to read notes and scores.
Whatever the age of the student, beginner level or confirmed, I offer private lessons of violin and viola.
No knowledge or musical notion is necessary beforehand, the theoretical achievements are made as and when the discovery of the instrument.
