Piano Lessons in Berlin by a german native speaker

(German version further down/Deutsche Version weiter unten)

I enjoy teaching because it requires a deeper knowledge of the material than if one is only performing music. Just like there are many different students there are multiple ways to explain a certain topic. By learning to look at music from different angles and expressing it in a personal way that is relevant to the student, I am continuously learning too.
I do not think that it is important how old you are or in what environment you grew up.
Seeing people's love for music grow during the process of learning is always great. My love for music is what always motivated me and what most people I know motivates. To engage with music as a result of learning an instrument can bring your brain in a healthy state of ongoing change.
People that are "without any talent" for music do not exist. Everyone can engage with music on different levels and enjoy it.

I can teach Piano involving sheet music or not, depending on what you prefer. I also offer Music theory lessons, Improvisation, Jazz, Ear Training and Composition.

The lessons can be held in English or German or a mixture of both.
I teach close to Friedrichstraße in Berlin. The lessons can be done via Skype too.

You can read about me as a performing musician here:
Julius (*1995) is a German pianist and composer, graduated from the University of Arts Berne in Switzerland in 2017 with honors.
In July 2019 he finished his Masters in the European Jazz Masters Programme through the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen with exchange semesters in Berlin and Amsterdam.
Throughout his studies, he was lucky enough to receive artistic guidance by Colin Vallon, Django Bates, Harmen Fraanje, Simon Toldam, Peter Bruun, Greg Cohen, and Michael Moore.
Julius was granted a scholarship by Lyra Stiftung Zürich in 2015 and 2016. Tours with his own bands have been supported by different fundings from Switzerland and Germany.

In June 2017 the Debut-Album “Drama” of his Swiss-based quintet „Windisch“ was released on the Label “QFTF". The Band toured Germany and Switzerland and was featured on Swiss radio and german Television that year as well as received positive feedback from allaboutjazz.com.
His electronic duo cesarean moons released their debut in May 2018 on Blaublau records. The debut album of his Berlin-based quartet will be released at the beginning of 2020.
The Copenhagen-based project "Threshold" featuring Peter Bruun on drums will release an Album later in 2020.

Julius performed all across Europe from Paris to Trondheim, Amsterdam to Gdansk and Zürich to Copenhagen.

Piano Lessons in Berlin, Mitte with a Professional Musician
I'm currently studying with Dr. Yossi Reshef, and teaching a technique based on a free wrist, loose arms, weight play, motion control, and deliberate practice methods. Maybe you have hurts or technical issues while playing? that is a clear indicator for a wrong technique. It is actually possible to detect all kind of hurts and lead them back to techniqual mistakes. I know how to analyze your hand, arm and wrist motions and solve problems for you, also difficult passages can feel much easier suddenly. I'm a classical pianist, specializing in a repertoire of classical composers, such as Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Beethoven, Schubert, and Mozart, but I'm open to all Genres of piano music, whichever you would like to learn. Depending on your goals, we create a schedule for you to reach it. It is not essential for me on which level you are right now, you can either play for the first time or further advance your piano techniques. Beside piano technique, I can also teach you how to accompaign yourself or someone else singing, and how to easily arrange a song for piano. We can practice at my studio in Mitte close to U Französische Strasse with a Steinway&Sons Grand piano, or in my studio close to U Kleistpark, where I can teach also early morning or late evening.

piano , music theory, ear training ,solfege lessons
Playing piano can be very nice hobby and everyone can play the tunes that they like. The way how I teach depends on the student’s own desires. We can go with serious classical piano repertoire or something different like learning some jazz ,blues ,latin america, flamenco tunes or even with pop culture (Sinatra ,Ella Fitzgerald etc.) The music theory class consists the fundamentals of different music cultures and analyzing skills which would be useful for young people who are planning to become proffesional musicians and to apply to conservatories or Hochschules. But also it can be so much fun to learn all the theoretical stuff that genius composers composed their pieces. The ear training class is also part of the theory. But it is even more fun. It is always really exciting to see how we could train any kind of ear (one doesn’t have to have necessarily absolute pitch ) Looking forward to meet my students Süeda

Classical singing and piano lessons for all levels and ages
Dear parents and students, I am a professional singer and pianist from Hong Kong, having more than 10 years of experience in music teaching. Having graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in music and Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with a Master degree in classical singing (cum laude), I am currently pursuing my postgraduate study in singing at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, under the tutelage of Valerie Guillorit. I am a holder of Licentiate Trinity College of London (LTCL) vocal and piano performance certificates, both with distinctions. Besides, I am a holder of ABRSM Grade 8 music theory certificate with merit. I have performed as soloist at a lot of occasions in Hong Kong and Europe, and the repertoire includes opera, Lied, oratorio and new music. I have given singing and piano lessons to students ranging from 2 to 40 years of age. Very happily, all of them had obtained distinctions in their ABRSM exams and some of them had won prizes in competitions. However, I do not teach them for distinctions and prizes. No matter what they get on their music journey, I love them with all my heart and I always believe that encouragement is the key. For beginners, I focus a lot on basic techniques. During the lessons, I also like to share my knowledge about history and theory, which are important building blocks to shaping a musician. For advanced learners, I would teach more about musicality and music presentation along with basic techniques. Of course, the actual teaching method depends on the personality and ability of student too. I grow up in a top English school in Hong Kong, so I can communicate in English fluently. I am confident that I will give my students the best learning experience. Please feel free to contact me if you would like a trial lesson:)

Do you want to learn how to play saxophone in Amsterdam?
Music is the best way of communication in the world, the most international language and an easy way of sharing. Teaching means a lot for me; it allows me to pass on beautiful things I have learnt and at the same time to improve thanks to my students' feedback. Music and musical teaching are about joy and never-ending curiosity. My lessons are totally compiled on the student's needs, both time-wise and content-wise, and they are aimed to get quick results. We can work out many different topics together, such as learning tunes, technique, improvising, as well as approaching theory, reading, circular breathing, altissimo register and multiphonics... The lessons usually take place in my studio close by Javaplein in Amsterdam or by my house in Bos en Lommer. I work mornings and evenings as well as in the week end. Saxophone is fun! Contact me and get a trial lesson asap, I am looking forward to meeting you.

Piano lessons in Angers, 8 years of experience
I give piano lessons for all levels, students without any musical concept or confirmed, from 3 to 80 years old. I adapt my teaching to the character, work time and taste of each, combining progress and pleasure. I include the main notions of solfeggio and harmony during lessons and in a fun way. My goal is to convey my passion for piano and music and I constantly question my pedagogy so that my students are as satisfied as possible. I can also teach solfege lessons alone, piano support, musical awakening for the youngest and in the history of classical music. I have been teaching piano at home for 8 years, including many children of all ages. I also did group workshops in primary schools in Paris. So I'm used to children, even younger ones, and I'm very patient. I can motivate an adult, beginner, in recovery or with higher goals, and give confidence to my students so that they can fully develop in their instrumental practice. I currently teach in the Paris region, but I will move to Angers at the end of the 2018/2019 school year. Classical pianist of 28 years, I started the music at 6 years old. Having first graduated from other fields (chemical engineering and archeology), I returned to my primary passion for teaching this passion full time. I have a DEM (Diploma of Musical Studies) end of conservatory curriculum obtained at the Conservatory of Clamart (92) with a mention TB. I attended classical piano lessons with Gohar Zorikian (1st prize in Armenia), chamber music, solfege, analysis, jazz piano, choir, music history and classical dances. contemporary conservatory. I am also currently validating a Bachelor of Musicology from the Sorbonne to perfect my knowledge of the history of music, harmony, writing, and sociology applied to music. I am now a full-time auto-entrepreneur teacher and I have been teaching piano lessons for 8 years. I currently have thirty students and I had fifty students in total. I was fortunate to have varied teaching experiences: - music theory for children and adults, - musical awakening from 3 years, - harmony for professional composers, - piano for beginners from 5 to 80 years, - piano for intermediate or advanced students or piano rehearsals after long periods of stopping, - support courses in addition to the conservatory.

    Dorelle
Cello lessons and / or solfège in Brussels and Leuven
My name is Dorelle and I play cello and piano since I was little. For me, art in general plays a particularly important role in life :-) Currently, after a year of Erasmus in Germany I will finish my studies in Leuven at the Lemmensistituut. The important thing for me in learning the cello is to have fun while making sure to find a good position that will not generate tensions later. I give an hour of class in general, but can adapt to the desires of the student without worry, whether in terms of course times or to find cool songs that change the repertoire "classic"! I can also help more advanced students who need support to pass an exam or progress more quickly.

    Daniele
Saxophone, music theory and improvisation - all levels
This course is for anyone that's interested to play the saxophone at any level, from the very beginners to students interested in more advanced topics such as improvisation, both in unconventional ways or more founded on the tradition of Jazz. The course will be adapted to the pupils goals and level, with a demanding but not overpowering approach. The frequency can also be optimized to the pupil's necessities: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly (not less). I believe that the main goal of a mentor should ultimately to make the pupil become his own teacher and establish an empatic two-way learning process.
