Piano Lessons in Berlin by a german native speaker

(German version further down/Deutsche Version weiter unten)

I enjoy teaching because it requires a deeper knowledge of the material than if one is only performing music. I am continuously learning too.
I do not think that it is important how old you are or in what environment you grew up.
To engage with music as a result of learning an instrument can bring your brain in a healthy state of ongoing change.
People that are "without any talent" for music do not exist. Everyone can engage with music and enjoy it.

I can teach Piano:
- involving sheet music or not, depending on what you prefer.
- or/and Music theory lessons
- or/and Improvisation
- or/and Jazz
- or/and Ear Training
- or/and Composition.

The lessons can be held in English or German or a mixture of both.
I teach close to Friedrichstraße in Berlin. The lessons can be done via Skype too.

You can read about me as a performing musician here:
Julius (*1995) is a German pianist and composer, graduated from the University of Arts Berne in Switzerland in 2017 with honors.
In July 2019 he finished his Masters in the European Jazz Masters Programme through the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen with exchange semesters in Berlin and Amsterdam.
Throughout his studies, he was lucky enough to receive artistic guidance by Colin Vallon, Django Bates, Harmen Fraanje, Simon Toldam, Peter Bruun, Greg Cohen, and Michael Moore.
Julius was granted a scholarship by Lyra Stiftung Zürich in 2015 and 2016. Tours with his own bands have been supported by different fundings from Switzerland and Germany.
He performed all across Europe during the past years.

Piano Lessons in Berlin, Mitte with a Professional Musician
I'm currently studying with Dr. Yossi Reshef, and teaching a technique based on a free wrist, loose arms, weight play, motion control, and deliberate practice methods. Maybe you have hurts or technical issues while playing? that is a clear indicator for a wrong technique. It is actually possible to detect all kind of hurts and lead them back to techniqual mistakes. I know how to analyze your hand, arm and wrist motions and solve problems for you, also difficult passages can feel much easier suddenly. I'm a classical pianist, specializing in a repertoire of classical composers, such as Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Beethoven, Schubert, and Mozart, but I'm open to all Genres of piano music, whichever you would like to learn. Depending on your goals, we create a schedule for you to reach it. It is not essential for me on which level you are right now, you can either play for the first time or further advance your piano techniques. Beside piano technique, I can also teach you how to accompaign yourself or someone else singing, and how to easily arrange a song for piano. We can practice at my studio in Mitte close to U Französische Strasse with a Steinway&Sons Grand piano, or in my studio close to U Kleistpark, where I can teach also early morning or late evening.

Süeda
piano , music theory, ear training ,solfege lessons
Playing piano can be very nice hobby and everyone can play the tunes that they like. The way how I teach depends on the student’s own desires. We can go with serious classical piano repertoire or something different like learning some jazz ,blues ,latin america, flamenco tunes or even with pop culture (Sinatra ,Ella Fitzgerald etc.) The music theory class consists the fundamentals of different music cultures and analyzing skills which would be useful for young people who are planning to become proffesional musicians and to apply to conservatories or Hochschules. But also it can be so much fun to learn all the theoretical stuff that genius composers composed their pieces. The ear training class is also part of the theory. But it is even more fun. It is always really exciting to see how we could train any kind of ear (one doesn’t have to have necessarily absolute pitch ) Looking forward to meet my students Süeda

Mark
Jazz/classical/beginner piano lessons (EN/DE) from award-winning British pianist
Teaching is something I really enjoy. I enjoy the challenge of expressing ideas in a personal way that is relevant to each student and encouraging people to learn to have fun at the instrument. If you can nurture your love of music at the piano it will become something truly life-affirming. I teach on high-quality pianos at the Piano Center in Berlin-Mitte or at my practice space in Kreuzberg/Tempelhof (near U Platz der Luftbrücke). In English oder auf Deutsch. ... Reviews from my students: "Mark is an incredibly gifted teacher and pianist. Being his student is always a pleasure, with a perfect balance of fun and discipline" "I’m really satisfied, by both his technical knowledge and teaching skills" "I absolutely love our lessons. The myriad of thoughts that I always have in my head abandons me and this is such a fantastic feeling for which I am grateful" "It was great! Mark was knowledgable and friendly, and got us up and running very quickly" "Mark has a very constructive guidance for music, and very comprehensive expression" ... PRESS: "A talented newcomer" - The Guardian "Stupendously talented" - The Independent "A new voice in jazz ... both expressive and innovative ... a musical vision that is quirky, yet positively original" - UK Vibe "Ambition to match his talent ... a striking writer and orchestrator as well as a fine keyboard player" - London Jazz News "A musician with a very bright future indeed" - The Jazz Breakfast "Much has been written about Mark. All of it positive, all of it justified ... It is only a matter of time before he becomes a household name ... hearing Mark live should be a priority" - Bebop Spoken Here "Hugely talented ... technically gifted" - Narc Magazine "Mark has increasingly been making waves with his singular and adventurous approach to music-making" - AP Reviews "A very great and mature talent" - Only Jazz Blog

Learn How to Sing or Play Piano in an Calm, Personalised Way
Private music lessons. I go to the person house. I have a degree in musicology and a master in singing. Back in Portugal I was a private music teacher for all ages (even babies) and also worked in a music school and a private college. My area of expertise is classic, but I also teach pop and rock. My classes can be given in english, german or portuguese. My abordadion to music is in a very calm and relaxed way. I always adapt my type of teaching according with the student needs and objectives. I know that techinique is very important in music but also is the way that you understant it feel it in your body, so I gave also a lot of importance to interpretation, emotion and how can that music be understood not just like a mechanic very technical piece. Music is not a paper with notes, music is sound and how we feel and uderstant that sound.

GUITAR COURSE - AT HOME OR AT THE PROFESSOR - LAUSANNE
Classical or classical guitar lessons for beginners and more. I am a student and I practice guitar for 12 years at the conservatory and I have been teaching for 4 years. I travel near the EPFL and within a radius of 3 km around Lausanne. The course can be given in Lausanne in my music room. (1004 Lausanne) Want to start the guitar? Want to try out classical works or to play the latest pop songs on the radio? No problem I am here to help you achieve your goal! Even if you have never touched a guitar of your life I can teach you from basic notes through scales and chords to play your favorite arpeggios. If necessary I enrich my teaching with solfège and guitar culture. It will be necessary to learn to know your instrument and especially to know how to read the scores to exercise when I would not be there;) If the course is for your child I know how to be a pedagogue and a patient, and children often have a good listening experience when learning a musical instrument. I can help them develop their musical ear while showing them the basics of this art. For schedules I can be flexible but preferably during the week. Here I hope soon to scratch some agreements with you :)

Do you want to learn how to play saxophone in Amsterdam?
Music is the best way of communication in the world, the most international language and an easy way of sharing. Teaching means a lot for me; it allows me to pass on beautiful things I have learnt and at the same time to improve thanks to my students' feedback. Music and musical teaching are about joy and never-ending curiosity. My lessons are totally compiled on the student's needs, both time-wise and content-wise, and they are aimed to get quick results. We can work out many different topics together, such as learning tunes, technique, improvising, as well as approaching theory, reading, circular breathing, altissimo register and multiphonics... The lessons usually take place in my studio close by Javaplein in Amsterdam or by my house in Bos en Lommer. I work mornings and evenings as well as in the week end. Saxophone is fun! Contact me and get a first lesson as soon as possible, I am looking forward to meeting you.

Dorelle
Cello lessons and / or solfège in Brussels and Leuven
My name is Dorelle and I play cello and piano since I was little. For me, art in general plays a particularly important role in life :-) Currently, after a year of Erasmus in Germany I will finish my studies in Leuven at the Lemmensistituut. The important thing for me in learning the cello is to have fun while making sure to find a good position that will not generate tensions later. I give an hour of class in general, but can adapt to the desires of the student without worry, whether in terms of course times or to find cool songs that change the repertoire "classic"! I can also help more advanced students who need support to pass an exam or progress more quickly.
