American politics and its impact in the world| Comparative approach

Do you want to understand the Trump phenomenon? Does the Democratic Party have a chance for a comeback? The focus of this class is to learn more about American politics and the pressing challenges that they will face in the next decade. Is American society becoming more capitalistic and conservative or is there something else going on? How can we address the polarisation in national politics? Is the local government the solution? What is the role of lobbyists, think tanks, and interested groups in all this? These are some of the questions that we will address.

I can be flexible about the schedule so let me know if you are interested but cannot make it due to conflicting schedules. I will try my best to match your schedule.

Extra information

Genuine interest is required. Please be close to a laptop as you might have to google some stuff if you are not familiar at all with American politics.

About Me

I am passionate about teaching because I have experienced firsthand the impact of good teachers. I implement a plethora of methods to inspire students to learn and feel engaged. Students tell me that they particularly enjoy my ability to connect theoretical concepts with practical examples.

My careful observations of the teaching styles, methods, and philosophies that I experienced throughout my education give me a valuable collection of effective teaching techniques from which I draw. I also have been lucky to be surrounded by wonderful colleagues who have received many teaching awards and who have generously shared with me their insights.

In closing, when I entered college, I vacillated between a career in science and one in economics. Although I chose to do the latter, some key things that I learned in science still drive me. For example, the first law of thermodynamics states, “Energy cannot be created or destroyed in an isolated system.” As such, I approach every class full of enthusiasm and positive energy, as I want my students to feel invigorated and ready to take on the most challenging tasks of our society. And, if Mr. Newton is right, then I should also expect the counterreaction to be the same, which in turn makes teaching an enjoyable endeavor.

Best professor, He answers my questions with relevant examples and in an easy way to understand
Besides my education in Financial Economics, I have a lot of personal experience from working in impact investing and other financial institutions in the United States. I share my own insights with you about what the best trading strategies are and I help identify companies that I think will make your investment worthwhile. I am also an avid trader myself in my personal life, so I have some skin in the game and will always recommend stocks that I have myself invested on, so you know my advice is genuine. Otherwise, we can focus our discussion towards new trading tools such as cryptocurrencies, new trading platforms, and the challenges associated with them. Please feel free to reach out if you have any concerns.
The intent of this class is to provide an overview of the subject matter of international economics. It is relatively easy to motivate the study of international trade and finance. The front pages of newspapers, the covers of magazines, and the lead reports on television news broadcasts herald the interdependence of the world economy and financial results. Students may also recognize this interdependence through their purchases of imports of all sorts of goods, their personal observations of the effects of dislocations due to international competition and their experiences through traveling abroad. We discuss current political events and their impact on future economic trends. Will automation make us all lose our jobs? Does a trade war between the US and China necessarily mean trouble for the rest of the world? Is human capital (and de facto favorable immigration policies) the key to the future? Can an institution of higher education change their curriculums very often to keep pace with technological changes? These are just a few of the questions we explore in this class. I can be flexible about the schedule so let me know if you are interested but cannot make it due to conflicting schedules. I will try my best to match your schedule.
This class is for individuals who want to improve their writing skills in English. I have gone through the journey myself in the past so I am equipped with the skills to ensure your success. I hold a BA, MA and a JD, all from American universities. I tailor each lesson based on the needs of the student, because I believe you need to know how to walk before you can run. I provide line-by-line feedback on your assignment and recommend sources/tools on how you can be a more effective writer. I can be flexible about the schedule so let me know if you are interested but cannot make it due to conflicting schedules. I will try my best to match your schedule.
My goal is to help you with your career development and job search. I can help you polish your resume/CV, as well as, your cover letter. I also conduct mock interviews to prepare you in advance and help you come up with better answers. I help you improve your online presence, as well as, actively look for positions that I think would be a good fit for you. I can be flexible about the schedule so let me know if you are interested but cannot make it due to conflicting schedules. I will try my best to match your schedule.
Do you want to get into a top PhD program in the United States? Do you want to attend the law school of your dreams? Are you not sure which university is your best fit? I can help you. I have worked in the admission's office of multiple higher education institutions in the United States and can share my insights on how you can succeed. I am also willing to meet at a cafe and go over this, as I think a relaxed setting would be best. This class is for individuals who want to learn more about the American financial system and why it is dominant. We will talk about the laws, ideas, and policies that help the American economy more than other countries. We will learn about the power of the Federal Reserve System and its complex relationship with other financial actors. I will share with you theoretical insights from leading scholars, as well as, professional insights for working with firms in New York City, Washington DC, and Minneapolis. I can be flexible about the schedule so let me know if you are interested but cannot make it due to conflicting schedules. I will try my best to match your schedule.
As a coherent interdisciplinary movement, the roots of law and economics can be traced back to the mid-twentieth century, when Ronald Coase pioneered the foundations of the field with his groundbreaking findings through interdisciplinary approaches. The movement gained prominence in the 1970s and 1980s through the work of Richard Posner and Guido Calabresi, who took the economic analysis into new unchartered territories such tort law , criminal justice , and emerging technologies. Today, it is one of the most established disciplines in law; policymakers (elected officials, judges, as well as, public administrators) seek its impact and influence. This class focuses on the importance and impact of economic theory on legal jurisprudence in various pressing global issues: unfair competition, traditional and intellectual property rights, machine learning and artificial intelligence, global financial regulation, and legislative agendas. I can be flexible about the schedule so let me know if you are interested but cannot make it due to conflicting schedules. I will try my best to match your schedule.
This class is designed to help you make sense of modern events as they relate to finance and trade. We will cover institutions like World Trade Organization, the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, European Central Bank and the Federal Reserve System. I will provide you with unique insights into these fields, given my personal professional experience. My goal is to keep my students challenged and to push them to think harder. I can be flexible about the schedule so let me know if you are interested but cannot make it due to conflicting schedules. I will try my best to match your schedule.

International Relations - Theory (for students or whoever is interested)
Theories of IR are like lenses - you put them on and see the world through different perspectives. Why is there war and is there such thing as a just war? How to achieve piece, is it even possible? How do countries interact? Do they have friends and foes? How do realists see the process of globalization and how do liberals see it? Answers to these questions you will find in this course where we will look at the main theories of IR and make them simple and practical.

English, Social Science, Law. Preparing for exams, learning about the legal and political environment through current affairs.
My expertise is in tutoring English, Law and Social from infant, GCSE, AS to undergraduate. I want students to enjoy coming to my classes and contribute freely without feeling pressured. My goal is to get the students to think about the topic and formulate opinions and discuss them openly. Homework is set after each lesson with feedback given afterwards. The English class concentrates on language skills, grammar, reading, pronunciation and sentence formation with the emphases on practice using English, not just in class but also at home and with friends to build confidence. It does not matter at what level you are in English as each class is carefully planned around your needs. In the Law class I concentrate mostly on GCSE, AS and Undergraduate. I use a variety of teaching methods as the subject is quite theoretical. Exercises such as mock trials, gathering evidence and the use of case law to name but a few. These classes are enjoyable and requires the student to engage fully. The Political Science classes are taught from GCSE to Post Graduate level and covers a specific country and it's dynamics. My lessons focus on the United Kingdom, Europe, America and Russia. At these lessons you will be able to compare and contrast different types of systems, their methodology on social policy, foreign policy as well as with other countries. You will watch films, engage in debates and participate both individually and in groups. Most of all all my lessons are fun!!
