About Me

Born in Switzerland and raised in Italy, I am a pop/soul/r&b singer based in Amsterdam.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in singing with minors in piano, improvisation, arrangement, and harmony from the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, Italy. I further specialized in vocal performance with a Master of Arts from the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, Netherlands.

I strongly believe that the voice is an all-powerful instrument. It converts the invisible into the visible; it transforms emotions into sounds. The voice is subject to continuous evolution. It's a beautiful instrument that offers so many possibilities in terms of expansion.

Stefano is very professional, very kind and very patient. He knows different techniques and approach to teach piano according to personal needs and skills. Highly Recommended!!
The first lesson I had with him, has been positive and productive. I deeply appreciate the way he put so much attention to what I want to learn and not the other way around. With the exercises he gave me, I can already feel the differences from my previous vocal coach. Also, I am a very visual singer so that means Stefano has also helped me see singing in a different approach so fresh and new to me.
Stefano is a great teacher - he's attentive to your needs and preferences. He teaches and coaches in a very positive style, focusing on your strengths to develop and encouraging you along your learner journey. Highly recommend!
Very good teacher, patient and professional)
My first lesson with Stefano was amazing!! I had never taken singing lessons before, and he did everything to make me feel at ease and comfortable. He’s also super knowledgeable and has given me great pointers on how to improve my technique as well interpretation! On top of this, he’s allowing me to focus on the genres of music that I am passionate about and tailoring the lesson to that. Finally, he’s a warm, kind person which makes the lessons more enjoyable as well! Would absolutely recommend!

Seen Tung
Piano/Music theory/Composition & Arranging lessons tailored to your needs and wishes
Hello, this is Seen! I am a pianist, composer and arranger from Hong Kong, currently studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I am offering piano and music theory lessons tailored to your needs and wishes. Perhaps you are an enthusiastic adult beginner, or you want to pick it up again after not touching the instrument for some time? Or perhaps you are looking for a teacher for your child? I have been giving music lessons for the past 9 years to students at different levels aging from 5 to 60. I understand that we all approach music in various ways and everyone needs different styles of guidance. I am looking forward to getting to know you and experiment with how I can help you along the way. Perhaps you want to play pieces from the classical repertoire? Or perhaps you want to acquire the skill of learning your favourite pop songs by ear, or learn to read lead sheets and chord symbols? Perhaps you want to learn to accompany yourself singing? Perhaps you want to learn improvisation over chord progressions? As a musician grew up with classical music training and later moved on to explore jazz and pop, I enjoy helping you to deepen your understanding about different styles and to have fun with playing! Perhaps you’ve always wanted to improve your piano technique, but get turned off by studies and scale practice? Perhaps you wish to acquire a stronger sense of rhythm or a more sophisticated control of sound? In my experience, advanced technique comes along with a tension-free body and mental space, and we can work on that together. I also find creating unique musical exercises that adapts to students’ needs makes the learning process more enjoyable. Perhaps you would love to integrate music into your daily life, but find it challenging to keep the momentum and interest in a long term? I try to structure our lessons so that students can see steady progress. I also understand that incorporating a habit can be a tricky part, so we can also develop study and practice plans together and explore ways to make your practice time more efficient. Perhaps you not only want to learn the instrument, but are also interested about the theories behind the music? Perhaps you want to learn some basic arranging skills and write for an ensemble that you play with? Perhaps you want to try composing your own music? As a composer and arranger, I would also love to share my experience on these subjects with you. Music is an enormous universe and there are always new territories to explore. I’m still a student on this journey, and I’m more than excited to share my experience and accompany you on your way!

Learn piano and / or music composition in a relaxed atmosphere
I teach piano to students of all levels and ages. My goal is to challenge but not overwhelm the learner student. I also teach theory during piano lessons, and I also give theory homework. I tailor the teaching method individually to the needs of the students. I'm also a composer / singer-songwriter, so if you want to improve your songs or pieces of music, you can do that very well.

Play only what you like! - Sound Design and Electronic Music lessons in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, hardware instruments and/or Max MSP
Music is Play! and everyone is its own game. Understand and make only the music you like. If it isn't fun, it can't be music! I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music and playing synths, drum machines, and computers. It's longer than 5 years now! Electronic music is a very vast world. The possibilities are endless. But do you need to learn everything, or only what interests you to make the music you want to do? From listening and analyzing a song you like, we will go through the necessary knowledge for you to achieve it: - What do you need to build your home studio in order to create something similar? - Which instruments (or plugins) are being used. - Whether or not a knowledge of music theory is necessary. - And in which different ways / through which paths could you achieve something like what you desire? At the same time that we analyze and learn, you are also going to be encouraged to create! Practice makes the master, and the more you create, the more familiar you'll be with the tools and the environments that we learn in class. A part of the class is also going to be dedicated to listening to what you created and going through different ways we may improve it. For people interested in live electronics (live-processing an acoustic instrument or programming live sets), I also have knowledge of Max MSP and I can teach the basics or help you program any kind of device you propose. PD: I have also experienced imparting piano lessons, which is also a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create any kind of path between piano, synths, beats, and home studio techniques. Ask me anything, I'll tell you how I could help!

Piano lessons with experienced teacher - graduated pianist.
My teaching method developed during 20 years of experience and thanks to my studies of Music Pedagogy and Piano Teaching during my Master in Piano at Livorno's Conservatory. I am currently a piano teacher in a British School and I prepared several students for ABRSM and Trinity College exams. As a private piano teacher, I work preferably in my studio, on a beautiful grand piano Yamaha, but, if not too far, I am also available for lessons at the student's house. My teaching is adapted to the skills and goals of each student. With beginning children, I aim at a full musical development of the student (not just playing notes, but feeling the rhythm, singing, expressing emotions through free improvisation); technically I don't work only at the finger position, but at the organic interaction arm-wrist-fingers, through simple exercises. With adult or advanced students, I observe them, in order to suggest which type of repertory to work together, and which aspects of technique might still need an improvement. I teach in a classical way, through the learning of notes, harmony and written music, but I teach also how to play songs with only chord symbols, and blues improvisation at a basic level. Both with children and adults I aim at creating a joyful experience during the lesson, in which focus is gained in a playful way, finding each time the best practicing solutions to technical and musical difficulties. In this way, practicing at home becomes not another heavy duty to add to an already busy schedule, but repeating a creative, searching experience, that is never the same. Books: the use of a method is often suggested in the first years. Later I advice classical pieces to be studied. Also pop or rock songs that the student would like to perform are well accepted, if I think the student can afford them.

Singing, Music, Music Theory, Children's Music, prepare auditions and performances
You'll learn how to use the voice in the proper way, starting by your natural speech and developing it to find your own sound. I have experience in both Pop and Jazz styles (a Bachelor in Jazz Singing and a degree in Jazz Composition), so it's possible to study songs from both this repertoires. I also give Music Theory Lessons, to make the student develop his/her own style and musical sensibility and, in the case of Jazz, to know how to improvise on different chord changes and jazz styles.
