Turkish Language (possible to look into literature if the student's advanced)

Translated using Google Translate. Click to view original.
Turkish is a challenging language to learn from scratch due to its agglutinative nature and use of suffixes. However, understanding how it works will help you make contrast with fusional languages like English and German, and facilitate the learning of other languages such as Finnish and Japanese.
Please bear in mind that I only teach this course in English as I don't speak Dutch.

I am able to teach Turkish for both children and adults. To be honest, it is not an easy language to learn but those who learn easily do lots of practices. This is a big adventure and we have to deal with its difficulties! I am solution oriented teacher and I know how to make this process fun and easier.

Gül
Turkish Language & Culture Lessons in English, Italian, Japanese
Turkish learning like never experienced before! No details left unexplained! Grammar in its complete sense! Merhaba! This is a certified mother-tongue teacher of the Turkish language and culture from Bursa. I have been working with numerous language schools in Turkey, in Europe, and in global platforms since 2011. I completed a program for teaching Turkish as a foreign language at Marmara University in Istanbul. I am also the Turkish language delegate for Directors Languages based in the UK, and a member of the Turkish team for Innovative Language Learning headquartered in Japan. I have built an exclusive method for Turkish teaching, being a self-language-learner myself. The lessons are adjustable for any kind of journalistic, touristic, romantic, gastronomic, linguistic, scientific, artistic, religious, historical, cultural, or commercial purposes; any level from hello to Ottoman poetry; background of any other language, way of learning, means of learning in person or via the Internet, and age. My spectrum of students expands from children to CEOs. I prefer proceeding with a constructive and conversational methodology for proper comprehension and confident learning of the Turkish language in the smoothest structure possible. That way, learners will have the freedom to make their own sentences once they are comfortable with the fundamental grammar and logic of the language, as well as the relevant vocabulary. I also enjoy making comparisons between world languages, clarifying to learners the origins of words, similarities in grammar, and contrasts in concepts. I spend great attention to the needs, motivation, and interests of learners so that I can pave the best order of topics, and choose the necessary glossary in a sufficient amount. I guide them to clear their previous confusion about Turkish with simple and logical explanations. I also help them to realize that they are making stable progress and that the things they learn are essential and part of the everyday, living language. I accumulated quite a rich resource of materials both written and audio-visual, including the prominent textbooks in the market, and a collection of various hardcopy and online varieties. Role-play dramatizations of real-life situations comprise an important part of classes. After each lesson, I provide learners with various supportive documents and exercises, as well as audio and visual practices if possible. When necessary, I can produce new material according to the exact needs and interests of my students. I also recommend them external sources to familiarize themselves with the language in their free time like popular songs and TV shows according to their personal tendencies. Overall, I am trying my best for their experience of learning Turkish to be efficient and fun, including related cultural explanations. Instructions can be in English, Italian, and Japanese. If you are interested, contact me kindly. I hope that we can discover this beautiful language and culture together! Başak
Turkish Lessons (In-Person OR Online) for Adults and Kids from an Experienced and Patient Teacher For All Levels-Learn&Practice&Speak!
I have been teaching Turkish for 18 years in Istanbul. I started to teach when I was studying the Turkish Language and Literature. I worked in a language school and at the universities, I suppose that I gained success. 😊 My achievements are directly proportional to my students’ success. My students are mostly teachers, consulate officers, international business people, and also travellers. I feel rewarded when I witness their progress in applying their Turkish language skills to their daily lives. Over the years, I have met hundreds of people from all over the world, taught Turkish, and told them about Istanbul and Turkey. Those people told me about their countries and learned to express themselves in Turkish. For example, I ask them: “Do you like Istanbul?” in Turkish it is “İstanbul’u surveyor museum?” or “ Traffic is very bad in Istanbul!”, “İstanbul’ da çok Trafik var!” The basic but correct conversation is really important for self-confidence in any language. If a learner can master basic sentence forms, the rest will come much easier. On the other hand, making mistakes is also very important. Especially, a learner can not speak without making a mistake the first and second time. My students are always varied and have diverse learning skills. My professionalism also allows me to tailor language education according to individual interests, needs, and capacities. In the classroom, I hold firm three main principles: first, providing a comfortable environment, second, creating an encouraging atmosphere, and third, establishing a collaborative instruction model. I consider that I developed an aptitude for making learning Turkish to become much easier, more enjoyable, and more practical for my students. I use a book prepared by a university in Turkey. I share the pdf version of the book for my lessons. I also adapt the materials according to the learner’s needs and support the book with my authentic materials. Even though I use a communicative approach, all my lessons are guided by a solid knowledge of grammar. On the online lessons, I send an e-mail after every lesson. That word file includes a vocabulary list, sentences (corrected and uncorrected versions, you can compare both of them easily), grammar points,s and homework for revision. In this way, you can find everything in a file well organized. When we have a face to face lesson, I give a hard copy of this list after every lesson. The lessons could be at my home office or in my student's house or office. I sometimes meet with my students in a coffee shop, I try to prefer silent places. :) How learning a new language opens a new window into a person, teaching Turkish is also the same for me! I was always interested in languages - I could speak a bit of Italian and learned Persian grammar except English. I always think about Istanbul -I was born and grew up here- it is a good place for self-improvement. First and foremost, Istanbul hosts international people coming from around the world. It is considering to me, I am lucky because I have one of the pleasant professions. When teaching Turkish, promoting cross-cultural awareness forms an important part of my lessons. Teaching the language involves both the students and myself in a dynamic conversation about our cultural backgrounds. Teaching Turkish is in fact not only teaching a language but also teaching a culture. I am interested in cinema, music and like visiting museums. I always share the activities with my students. I also teach Turkish to young learners. I started to study Child Development at Istanbul University as a second university in 2018. We say in Turkish, “Studies have no age!" If you want to speak Turkish well, please contact me. It is fun, and we will smile during the lesson!

Innovative and Engaging Turkish Lessons: Learn Turkish with Interactive Materials and Virtual Reality Exercises!
Hello everyone, my name is Murat and I am from İzmir, Turkey. As a native Turkish speaker and an experienced teacher with over 10 years of experience, I am passionate about language and teaching. I currently work in a high school in Turkey and also offer Turkish lessons online. I hold a Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language certificate and enjoy interacting with people from all over the world. During my lessons, I use a range of innovative and engaging methods to make learning Turkish both fun and effective. For example, I have created printable PDF notes and an interactive book with my voice, animation explanations, and virtual reality exercises. These materials are used during my lessons, and students can also practice with the interactive book after the lesson. To ensure that my teaching materials are of the highest quality, I have carefully selected the best parts from over 10 grammar books to create my notes. Additionally, I have created short podcasts that explain the content of the book, which students can listen to after the lesson. For vocabulary practice, I use flashcards with a QR code that, when scanned, plays my voice for correct pronunciation. As homework, I provide printable worksheets that also include a QR code. When scanned, the code directs students to watch an explanation of the PDF file. With my background in graphic design, you can be confident that my lessons are visually appealing and engaging. I'm confident that you'll enjoy it, as my approach is different from typical language lessons.
