JenniLearn English Efficiently: Customized Lessons (CELTA Certified)
Hi, my name is Jenni and I am a bilingual native speaker of English and Finnish. In both English and Finnish I have a very neutral accent: my students often tell me they find my accent easy to understand. I am a CELTA certified English teacher and have been teaching English full-time since 2014 in countries such as Ireland, China, Japan and now in Austria. I have taught both adults and children in private lessons as well as groups. My students have been everything from business professionals to teenagers preparing for their exchange year abroad to young children having their first contact with a foreign language. My greatest strength as a teacher is my experience from using different methods of teaching as well as different levels of students. I customize all my lessons to my students’ needs. Whether you are just beginning to learn English or already have a high level of English and are looking to keep up your skills or perhaps master a grammar point, I am confident I can help you achieve your goal. As a teacher I will customize each of our lessons to your needs and wants. Usually this means that I will assess your level of English during our first lesson. Then by asking you specific questions I find out more about why you are studying English and what is the goal you wish to achieve. We will also together decide what kind of materials (if any) we will use during our lessons. All of this I do so I know how to help you achieve your personal goal. A happy student makes a happy teacher! I look forward to our lessons :)

JoanaViolin and Viola Lessons - Learn a new instrument or improve your skills
I'm an experienced teacher, with students of different levels/ages. I enjoy the diversity of students and understanding of their different ways of learning and goals and for me, this is the best part of the job - to know an treat each student as a unique person that they are. You'll be encouraged to make music from the very first day. Together with some necessary music theory, always applied to the instrument, you'll learn pieces of gradual difficulty. We make use of progressive tuition methods and you'll learn a solid technique by playing scales, bowing and fingering exercises and easy tunes to begin with. Repertoire includes etudes, playful and challenging concert pieces and from the very beginning duos to play with the teacher.

ZacharyViola and Violin Lessons: Technique, Improv, and a Healthy Relationship with your Instrument
This course is for viola and violin students from the beginner through the high school level, and any age from 5-99! My goal is for my students to foster a healthy and long-term relationship with their instrument. The course focuses on practicing and truly understanding technique, with an emphasis on listening. Weekly assignments tend to include technical exercises, scales, and classical pieces of the student's choice. Basic improvisation is also an interest of mine and, I find, a valuable experience for my string students. I believe repertoire is largely a matter of student taste. Students of mine have learned pieces in the Suzuki books and other classical repertoire volumes, but have also learned pop and fiddle songs according to their interest. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the University of Puget Sound, where I graduated in 2015 before moving to Vienna to study privately for three years. I am currently on hiatus from a Master of Viola Performance degree at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where I study with Ásdís Valdimarsdottir. I have been teaching violin intermittently since 2009. While my musical education is classical, my performance interests are much wider. I have performed jazz and pop improv, and am currently exploring how hip hop can be implemented on the viola and violin.
