Piano, composition and music production lessons (ipad/computer)

Hello! My name is Mike. I am an enthusiastic electronic musician, living in Den Dolder, but active in Utrecht and Amsterdam. I have made music for various major theater performances and my installations have also been shown in various places in the Netherlands. In addition to my personal work, I have been teaching music production and programming at the HKU for a year now. In this series of lessons we will cover various parts of electronic music, but the teaching material also depends very much on the interests and ambitions of the student. The lessons I teach are completely focused on the desire of the student. If a student is very interested in the technical aspects of sound design or programming, that will be the focus. If a student is interested in producing numbers in a program like Logic, then we will focus on this. The first lesson will therefore mainly be an introduction, in which I show and discuss different techniques with the student, after which I will compile the lesson program based on the ambition and interest. Everyone is welcome to try a lesson, young and old, whether you have experience or not.

Hi, I’m Heewon from South Korea and I currently study music in HKU Conservatory. For about 14 years I have studied various aspects of music, I’ve studied piano, vocals and composition, and now I am studying piano in the jazz and pop course. Not only have I played lots of jazz and pop, I have played lots of classical, neo-soul and gospel, to me it’s important to be well versed in lots of genre’s. How amazing is it to play the music that lives in your head? Piano is by no means difficult, it make’s for a great hobby and is a wonderful stress reliever. My class is open for people of all skill levels and is held in English or Korean. Essential parts of my lessons are: -Tailor-made lessons to suit your skill level and needs. *For beginners we’ll go through basic piano skills, basic music theory and reading sheet music. *If you're an intermediate, you'll be given a class that suits your level, needs and wishes. Highly dedicated and passionate teacher. Age does not matter when it comes to learning, just enjoying it. Lessons for beginners to more advanced students. Always trying to keep a creative environment where the students can express themselves in all aspects. I believe that it is necessary to be constant. The ideal would be one hour or hour and a half a week, but that depends on the student availability. I would provide a personal adaptation. I like playing games, singing and coming up to most creative solutions for learning fast inside of a save space for questions and imagination of the student. It is very important to motivate the students regarding to their music tastes. I consider myself an involved and motivated musician. I am constantly trying to learn new styles and enjoy so much doing it. At the moment I am studying my second bachelor degree in music, specifically in Early Music. This class is both for people without any prior knowledge of music production and sound engineering and for people who wish to improve their skills. You will learn how to use computer software for RECORDING, COMPOSING, MIXING and MASTERING songs. You will also learn microphone techniques for recording acoustic instruments and voice. With this knowledge you will be able to produce music in all genres: pop, hip hop, rock, EDM, etc.

Hello! I am a classical pianist with a Master's Degree at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. I have 6 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages and levels. I started with the piano and then I gradually became more interested in harpsichord and early music. I graduated from Music School in Poland in 2017 and then the Academy of Music which I finished in 2022 with a master's degree in harpsichord. Currently, I am a student at Royal Conservatoire in Hague. I was working as a tutor since I was 17 years old therefore I have a lot of experience working with children, students, and adults. There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag. There will be enough distance between the student and the teacher. For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades. After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercise too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too. Private Piano lesson, from age 4 above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the number from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G. Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory. The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers. For the age 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

I can teach in a strict "classical" style or any song that the student might want to learn (as a composer I am quite savvy in arranging existing songs in any style and for any level). Input (daily practise) is required from the student for productive lessons and, if necessary, homework is given every week. I have experience with individual or group lessons.
