Trusted teacher: Hello! I offer private classical piano lessons for all ages. I have experience for more than 4 years with students who are beginners and advanced piano players. I was a teacher for the Young Talent Class at Conservatorium Maastricht 2021-2022. I graduated from Conservatorium Maastricht in 2022, where I had the opportunity to study with Maestro Igor Roma, and Maestro Jeroen Riemsdijk. Throughout my studies I also gained a comprehensive knowledge of music theory, harmony, counterpoint, ear-training, musical forms and music history. I have extensive competition and performance experience with a varied repertoire, from Baroque to Neo-Classical period. I can help you prepare for an upcoming competition, recital or entrance exam. My teaching methods are adaptive to the student's specific needs, so that we can work on improving them. We will work on improving sight-reading, memorisation and basic improvisation. I work with my students to develop their sense of musical phrasing, engage my students in discussions about the music we are playing and more importantly the composer's intent. For specific piano techniques we can work on finger strength, arm-weight, precise control in dynamics and articulation, clarity in fast playing, releasing tension from the body. In addition to my Bachelors Degree, I have a minor in Pedagogical methods and skills, and have obtained a Teaching Certificate from Conservatorium Maastricht. Currently I am available in a studio in Luxembourg City, and at the student's location, in and around Luxembourg City.

About me: Passionate about music, piano and singing, I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old. I started my lessons with Giorgia four months ago, and I am so glad to have found her. As a 26-year-old beginner, I was not sure if I should even try to pursue learning an instrument at this point. But now I am so glad I did! I am learning online, and I was a little unsure of how lessons via webcam would go. Despite my prejudice, everything turned out great, even though my setup is quite basic. Her approach to teaching is very creative. She is able to explain things that seem hard to put into words, and she always finds comparisons and descriptions that convey clearly little details of approach that make a lot of difference in the end result. For any difficulty I encountered, she presented methods of exercise that helped correct it. Another thing that I appreciate is that from one lesson to the next, the volume of work is challenging enough that I feel I am making progress, but not to the point that I am overwhelmed. Also, even though I am just beginning and the pieces are not that complex, she explains the musical interpretation in a way that not only helps me advance my skill but also enriches the way I understand and listen to music, and I find great value in that. Her manner of teaching is very organic, and she is a patient teacher with a warm presence. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons!

Robinson has been working with my 13 yr old daughter since the summer and I cannot recommend him enough. He is an amazing pianist, and so patient and kind and super professional. We are so grateful to have met him. Just a few weeks ago we needed a recording and at the last minute we informed Robinson and he made the time to fit my daughter in, and we just received the news today that she got first prize in America without Robinson this would not have been possible. It was a pleasure studying classical piano with Xiang and i recommend him as a teacher for piano. Xiang gave me guidance on hand relaxation, horizontal movements, rhytm and other ways of practicing, scales tips, pedalling, fingering and general tips. over few months of (bi)weekly lessons, he gave me guidance on few Czerny pieces and Chopin etude 12 op 10. Xiang can “sight read” some Chopin etudes at the speed that takes me several week to practice, this was amazing and inspiring to observe!:)
